I recently stayed at a charming country hotel and had an outstanding experience. The hotel's location was ideal, with easy access to historic and natural sites. The room was spacious and in excellent condition, surpassing even my high cleanliness standards. The highlight of my stay was the incredible meal at the hotel's restaurant; the quality of the food was exceptional and the wine selection was top-notch. The owner and his family were welcoming and went above and beyond to make me feel at home, sharing local history and providing recommendations for things to do in the area. The hotel staff and locals were friendly and made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return.

While the superior room was indeed large. It contained a double bed not the twin I had booked. We did not query this as the room and en suite were very acceptable. Surprisingly the bed in such a room was only standard double bed size. While breakfast was adequate it was not of the standard we have become used to where fresh fruit, cereals and various breads are set out for choice. Portions of cereal and scrambled egg served seemed portion controlled.

probably a bit on the dear side for a room for the night but we would certainly go back for the warm welcome

The room at Cedar Lodge Hotel & Restaurant was like stepping into a cozy time capsule. It had this delightful vintage charm that made me feel like I was visiting my grandparents' old house. Loved it!
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the original house feature. But hey, I bet some people would actually enjoy that rustic touch.

We only stayed one night. We were greeted by the Owner of the hotel, I found him a little abrupt. The room was spacious. I was very impressed with the bar area and had a lovely meal in the restaurant.
The only thing I did not like about the hotel is its location, it is a few miles from New Ross.

Incredible stay! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were cozy and clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the hotel was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The wood design and fire in the breakfast area were amazing. Can't believe I didn't find this gem sooner. Definitely in my top 3!

I had the most mind-blowing experience at this super cozy hotel! The staff was jaw-droppingly friendly and gave us awesome recommendations for places to visit nearby. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and left me speechless. The room was surprisingly spacious and the walk-in shower was so convenient. Free wi-fi and parking were available, and the 24-hour reception made our stay stress-free. The bar/lounge area had a cool vibe and the restaurant served scrumptious food. I can't wait to come back again when I'm in town! Trevor & Barbara

The beautiful reception area, lounge, sitting rooms. The beautiful rustic decor....the open fire. The hot whiskeys. All very, very nice indeed.
Away from the main areas the hotel was cold. Our room even with the heating was chilly. So were the halls and the restaurant in the morning.

Great location and friendly staff are the best aspects of this hotel. It is situated near to where I needed to be for my business trip, which saved me a lot of time and effort. The room was comfortable and clean, and I appreciated the free Wi-Fi service that was offered.
The staff member at reception was unhelpful and unwelcoming. I was not offered breakfast and felt like just another customer, rather than a valuable guest.

This is a gem of a hotel with spacious and well appointed rooms, excellent cusine, a fine wine list, a well stocked bar, very attentive and friendly staff and the owner/manager is very professional in his job and is a fountain of information.
I couldn't find any fault with my stay.

The Cedar Lodge Hotel is ideally located for families who love exploring the beautiful Irish countryside. We took a 5km trail through the Raven Nature Reserve and were enthralled by the red squirrels and other wildlife we spotted along the way. The hotel also offers easy access to numerous local activities like fishing, cycling, and horse riding, which kept our children entertained throughout our stay. Additionally, the friendly and hospitable staff made us feel right at home, while the guided tours of the nearby lighthouse tower provided a unique and educational experience for the whole family.
For dads, it would be great if the hotel had a dedicated area or activities for children to enjoy, giving us a chance to relax and unwind even more.
