Location is superb and this hotel is great value for money.
The only disappointment for me was that for a tiny bit of money this hotel could be incredibly stylish which it isn't.
Location was fantastic and the hotel was in an excellent position on the sea front.

The location is great, its an old established victorian hotel means the rooms are hugr and the staff are helpful and attentive.
If you fancy a bit of life Brighton is a breath away on the bus or there's loads of local walking if you're looking for fresh air and exercise.
The fact that it is the most humoungous room with an 8 foot double bed makes up for the basic furniture and tatty radiator.
The service was fantastic and room was large bed was comfortable tea.
We got to our suite and I have to say it was lovely; two huge rooms, absolutely fantastic views over the sea front, clean, bathroom superb.
We booked a standard double sea view room which was bright and clean, a reasonable size, and had a comfortable bed -- no A/C though!
We stayed for two nights in a double room seaview - plenty of space for family (two children under 5) as cot and camp bed provided.
In bar excellent value, big fluffy towels and restaurant was large well furnished meals were hot and tasty.
Service at the bar was prompt, the breakfasts were both generous ans delicious.
Bar prices were generally very reasonable, breakfast was excellent and reception staff were most helpful we enquired of the whereabouts of the local Catholic Church.
I didn't use the hotel restaurant as there are lots of other restaurants within easy walking distance.
The breakfast buffet of english hot food, cereals and fruit was excellent - again served in a well staffed dining room overlooking the sea.
The huge chandeliered reception was great, and staff very helpful and efficient.

The location was excellent, the whole hotel was decorated to a high standard and the reception staff made very easy to book in.

We were staying for a friends wedding and weather poor so cannot comment on Eastbourne as a family resort but local swimming pool was excellent, very cheap and very warm - again!
