Cavalier Hotel On Ocean Drive Miami Beach - 迈阿密海滩

The best part is the location - right across from the beach and pretty centrally located on Ocean Dr.

The location is spectacular, located right on Ocean Drive and the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a descent hotel in a great location.

I will say that the location is great, and Julio was the only person on staff that appeared to care - somewhat.

The rooms are large (booked a room with 2 double beds), which had a VERY partial view of the ocean (unless you upgrade to the suites which only have king sized-beds, your view will primarily be of hotels on either side of you).

The rooms were small but not too small, and they came with all the necessities (tv, clean room service, bathroom, shower, cd player, etc.

You walk in and there are two full size beds (they'll tell you that all the beds are queens but they are actually full), on the right is a TINY bathroom in which there is barely any room to open and close the door.

The bathroom is tiny, dirty and the bed was NOT good.

I was so disapointed when I arrived with three other friends to find out that they had us in a room with only one bed.

The owner of the hotel was always around the hotel, either at the bar or the restaurant.

Guests enter through a restaurant / bar called CJ's Crab Shack.

As far as the food at the restaurant- we never ate a meal there but we had their chocolate cake.

Nice (read, quaint, not luxe) bar area in lobby and the typical gimme-all-you-got-in-your-wallet South Beach restaurant spilling out onto the sidewalk of Ocean Drive.

This is a great place for the money but make sure you ask for a room on the third floor because even with a renovation the first floor will be always noisy since the have a bar and restaurant which stays open late.

If you have a problem with your room, I'm assuming it would be difficult to get it switched or fixed since the hote staff is limited to the front desk person and maybe a manager.

Service at the front desk and restaurant was excellent.

The "staff" consisted of a sometimes-available desk clerks who with maybe one exception, lacked basic customer-service skills.

The lobby was bright and clean and the concierge helped us with our bags and parking our car.

No need for valet parking (at $30/day), since the municipal parking garage (at $8) is just around the corner on 13th.

The elevator didn't work properly so we had to hike up three flights of stairs everytime.

All it takes is a PC and internet access and you have a 5 star review.

The room was clean, restaurant was excellent.

We tracked sand all over every day, and every afternoon the room was made spotless again.

00 should get you a decent /clean bathroom.

Very much a no-frills place, tho it did seem to have clean rooms.

The rooms were standard size but clean and provided the essentials.
