We recenty got marries and we informed the hotel, they gave us a room upgrade which was fantastic. Every member of staff that we spoke to were brilliant, they could not do enough for us even as we were checking out. I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who made our night very special.

Nothing, this hotel was perfect for us.

      Impressive building and pleasant staff

Carpet in room not especially clean and breakfast not very inspiring but the excellent rate paid made these matters seem minor.

The staff were really pleasant. The location was within walking distance of the city, but on a quite road. You could stay there as a woman on her own and feel comfortable.

I expected the beds to have a valance - which mine didn't. I was told not all beds have valances. I don't consider a bed to be made if it hasn't got one and I considered it unacceptable - however that's just my personal opinion. In all other respects the hotel was a good choice

It was great to have a DVD player in the room and the minibar was also appreciated.

The room was small and a lot of things like electric iron could be placed somewhere out of the room to save place.

Was attending a function outside the hotel so didn't spend much time in the hotel other than sleeping. However, the gentleman at reception was most helpful & polite. Rooms were spotless.

The hotel was very clean & decor very nice but I think it was over priced. Esp as breakfast was extra. There wasn't anything to dislike, however room was on the small side.

Staff where very competent and friendly and went that extra mile. Rooms where clean comfortable and although a little small, it had everything in that was needed, lovly fluffy towels, robes and bedding. Breakfast was very nice. Building itself is lovely with a beautiful entrance. Girl and reception (Harriet) was very profeshional, helpful and very polite, she made our stay that extra bit better.

Couldn't really fault it, apart from there is no parking available at the hotel and for the prices charger maybe better than a 30% voucher.

Restaurant, lounge and bar all closed as a private party was going on. We were offered room service but didnt find that acceptable so went out to eat

Beautiful architecture & decor. Friendly & helpful staff. Good choice of food at breakfast including healthy options & as much as we could eat. Good firm bed.

The room was excessively hot, the air-con did not seem to be working so we had a restless night. The pillows were far too soggy for my taste - looked very attractive but offered no support. The sink outlet wasn't working (plug wouldn't hold).

Very good food. Wonderful cooked breakfast . Fantastic dinner. The food was wonderful. The room is on the small side but is decorated beautifully. We have stayed in this room before.

The row of charis that are stored in the corridor leading to our room (15) They do this regularly here and it just clutters the place up.The parquet flooring in the corridor to the room needs resecuring. It is loose and it is very noisey when someone walk down the corridor. I know it is an old building with otrigibal floors, part of its charm but a solution could be found for this.

Well-equipped room with plenty of gadgets including ironing board and fridge in mini-bar. Stylish architecture and design everywhere; the conversion has won an architectural award. Quiet room as I had requested. Food generally delicious.

Service of food was slow - twice I had to wait half an hour for food - and it was never hot. This applied to food whether served in the dining room, the lounge or the bedroom. I found the lounge too small and draughty to relax in, being a few chairs and tables with the bar in the corner. A wider range of vegetarian options would be a good thing. A fault with the heating in my room, which despite the thermostat could not be adjusted, meant it was extremely hot most of the time.

professional service and not noisy. Ideal for business and working.

It would have helped to have an inventory for the fridge. I never use them but I like to know that the stock level is correcct so I do not have to waste time checking out. Also for those idiots who for some reason want try and not pay they have no place to hide!

The interior design was excellenet and beautiful. It was a very comfortable stay for a business trip.

The corridor flooring was obviously once fitted to a high standard. However, with use the flloor (parquay tiles) have become unstuck. This makes for a very unattractive feature ansd also a very noisy one for guests to walk on. It needs urgent attention.

Slightly shabby, small damp patches on walls, paper peeling. Needs a bit more TLC.
