Catalonia Las Cortes Hotel Madrid - 马德里

The location is fabulous, located at Plaza Santa Ana, almost equal walking distance between Plaza Mayor and the Prado Museum, about 10 minutes or so each way.

Ideally located to explore historic Madrid, the location of the hotel is particularly excellent given the cost and the staff is *very* friendly.

The hotel could not be in a better location, walking distance from the Prado and the Thyssen, It is also very close to the Plaza Santa Ana with its great restaurants.

We took a taxi from the airport, it was hot and we didn't feel like battling our way on the metro.

Staff were very nice and were very helpful in getting us reservations for a Flemenco restaurant, taxi cab to the airport and train directions to Segovia.

They had a lounge area and a restaurant downstairs which provided a full breakfast.

Bar/restaurant not anywhere you'd want to "hang out," but no need due to location.

Ana is a good tapas bar/restaurant but as you can't book, finding a table at the weekend is hard.

And, especially for Americans used to larger breakfasts, the free breakfast buffet was very satisfactory.
