It’s a very well priced, impeccably clean motel located in a convenient location close to Fisherman’s Wharf.

In terms of location, we much preferred the Castle Inn, the neighborhood it's located in is such a great place to dine, walk around, have coffee, and window-shop.

We bought a 3 day pass that we could use on street cars, trams, buses and metro for just $18 each.

Excellent location; at VanNess and Broadway provides *easy* bus and taxi access, very short (2 1/2 blocks) walk to cable car line.

This is a practical little hotel with free parking for guests, a lovely guest room with a comfortable bed, plush towels, granite and tile bathroom, coffee and amenities.

There was a basic continental breakfast available until around 9am from the front office that you could take back to your room on a tray but lots of very good restaurants were available within a few minutes walk of the hotel.

There's a wine bar, a pub, and a great Thai restaurant, all within a block or so.

Her restaurant recommendations were excellent (Polkers for breakfast and Habana, Hyde Street Seafood, and Ristorante Milano for dinner) and guidance on using cable cars and buses was extremely useful.

Just down a 1/2 block were tons of good restaurants, and a bagel shop which we visited for our breakfasts.

Whether you were looking at the elevator, lobby area, common hallways, your room or bedding, everythingw as clean.

Over the road is a very useful supermarket, arranging for a shuttle pick up back to the airport and the free parking at the Castle Inn.

Free car parking was excellent, I was driving a Toyota Highlander and although parking space was tight, it was fine.

Internet cafe round the corner etc and free wireless are two free offerings.

The hotel is kept extremely clean and tidy, the rooms are comfortable and a light breakfast is available from the main office each morning.

The room was large, clean and comfortable.

Our room was super clean, nicely accomodated, and quiet.

And the Inn itself, well, it is a motel, but a good one, rooms are kept very, very clean.

Hotel ideally positioned, room clean, all you could want for a visit - will recommend without hesitation.
