Good location near Obelisk, the hotel itself is nice and have to pay the same price as external visitors to use the other services.

Overall, a great value for such an old, historic, and yes, "charming" hotel.

Again, I would not be complaining if the Castelar had been rated lower, but after staying at other 4-star hotels in Buenos Aires(for less money), it doesn't compare.

For the cost, and location, I recomend it.

The location is great for sightseeing, but not fab for night life and restaurants as we preferred both Palermo and San Telmo over Centro.

We liked the location and the good Quality/Cost Relation.

Metro stations just in front and i liked the slightly old-fashioned look of the hotel.

Easy walking to main attractions and further places could be reach because the metroline is outside or few blocks away.

Than they put me in a room with a double bed.

Anyways the room was very clean as was the bed, which was comfy.

There rooms quiet honestly were disgusting with dirt on the walls and old curtains and bed spread.

Had rooms near back of hotel, so it was usually pretty quiet at bed time.

Room was clean with new carpet, separate entryway, minibar and remodeled bathroom.

Only ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant, but it was more than adequate to get started in the morning.

Eat at the restaurant next door, "La Clac" which was once featured by Rachel Ray on Food Network.

Walking just a couple of hundreds of meters, you will see Av Corrientes which is nice street if you like some fine shops, restaurants, theaters, etc.

Served breakfast could be however a bit more extended with some more variety.

Breakfast was very good and free daily access to the excellent spa was a big bonus.

Hotel was in a very good location and the helpful staff at the reception desk were always willing to suggest ideas.

Excellent staff at the reception, good Internet.

The location was excellent and reception staff made us very welcome.

Service and staff are polite friendly and helphful if you require any assistance or advice.

Also, one note on the spa, the gym is only for men.

For those liking some spa or sauna, hotel has it.

The only nice thing about this hotel was the spa; we particulaly liked the steam room and the sauna.

Those renovated ones are fine to stay and remain in great old style while stuff being placed like in bathrooms is new, nicely tiled and clean.

I'm usuallly quite fuzzy, but I think the rooms and the hotel is fine - and most of all clean.

Well located and friendly, lovely hotel. Historic and attractive building, helpful staff, my room was very small for the rate paid. Breakfast was very good and free daily access to the excellent spa was a big bonus.

Good location near Obelisk, the hotel itself is nice and have to pay the same price as external visitors to use the other services. The rooms in the back are lovely, the breakfast is perfect and the spa is delightful.

The location is superb, i particularly liked the inclusion of the circuit baths in the price of the hotel room and the front desk / concierge extremely efficient and accomodating. Good shower pressure and they have three different saunas are free to guests.

Central location, the convenience of a spa in the hotel was a nice attraction as well and the staff were very helpful as my husband has reduced mobility. Bathroom was small, breakfasts were also good.

Perfect sitposition to explore the city, the only good thing about this hotel is the location and the rooms are not large. You need more than 1 service point or at least a different one for coffee refills etc.
