I've never been so well hosted by a hotel. The owners are lovely and seemed like a family member to me. The hotel is super clean and the 1500's house is totally renewed, beautiful and modern inside. Nunca fui tão bem recebido em um hotel. As donas são pessoas adoráveis, simpáticas e eu me sentia em uma atmosfera familiar. O hotel é SUPER limpo e a casa, dos anos de 1500, foi totalmente reformada e é linda, cômoda e moderna por dentro.
It's not downtown, but it's worth it to stay there and catch the bus to go downtown (€1,5 - 15 mins). Não fica no centro da cidade, mas vale a pena hospedar-se nele e pegar o auto-carro por €1,5 - 15 minutos.

This is a very comfortable, charming place to be near Coimbra and many other places to explore. The owners/hostesses are extremely gracious and accommodating. They are rightfully proud of what they have created from their family homestead. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable as are the grounds. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden. Rosa and Palmira can tell you where to enjoy a meal with the locals or point you in the direction of Roman ruins. They serve a generous breakfast and will make you a lunch for your sightseeing adventures. The small village is a nice change from the cities but is right off the highway. We were treated to a lesson on home made liquors from our hostess one night. It was hard to leave after feeling so well taken care of after 3 nights. Enjoy!

The kindness and availability of the two owners. A very familiar place to stay, far from the traffic even few Km outside Coimbra. Very good breakfast.

It's beautiful well designed hotel, cosy and comfortabe. The two ladies took excelleblnt care of us, they served delicous breakfast and we felt almost like at home. The distance from Coimbra is just great for a day trip of this beautiful univeristy town. We would highly recommend, especially to travelers with cars.

The great hospitality of the staff: the two sisters who run this place. The house, which is newly renovated and very comfortable. It was a real pleasure to stay at this place and I highly recommend it to anyone.
