  They give you one room key, which controls the air and lights, and when you leave the air goes off. Even at night with the air running our room never seemed to cool down. They lost one of our paid registrations for the horseback excursion, but after showing them our receipt they agreed to let us on the bus.

  This means you come back to a room that is unbearable to stay in at times.

  Nous avons séjournés au Casa Marina Beach en République du 29 mars au 5 avril 2007. Nous sommes allés avec les enfants 14 et 16 ans. Nous avons acheté notre voyage sur le site vosvoyages.ca en dernière minutes et nous n'avons pas été déçus du tout. C'était même au delà de nos attentes. À 10 minutes seulement de l'aéroport, le Casa Marina Beach est très beau. Il y a beaucoup de verdure, d'arbres et de fleurs sur le site. Des hamacs, les parasols, beaucoup d'ombre aussi pour ceux qui n'aurait pas mis de crème solaire... Les chambres sont correctes mais propres. Elles ne sont pas très luxueuses mais les serviettes sont changées tous les jours et le plancher est toujours lavé. Les lits sont confortables et il y a de l'eau chaude. Par contre, si vous prenez votre douche entre 16 et 18 heures, il n'y a pas beaucoup de pression. Le reste de la journée, c'est correct. La plage est superbe. Il y a en deux, une animée et l'autre plus tranquille. L'eau est chaude, il n'y a pas de roche ni de coquillage sur la bord de l'eau, seulement du beau sable doré... Les vagues sont vraiment grosses, vérifiez la couleur du drapeau tous les jours car quand il est rouge, on ne peut pas se baigner. Il y avait beaucoup de gens avec des bras et des jambes dans le plâtre car ils avaient défié le drapeau rouge. Je ne conseille pas d'amener vos jeunes enfants, c'est vraiment dangereux. Pour les plus vieux, si vous aimez jouer dans les vagues sans avoir peur d'avaler quelques bouillons, c'est vraiment l'endroit, on a passé nos journées à jouer dans les vagues... Il y a toujours des chaises longues de disponibles toute la journée, pas besoin de réserver. On peut avoir une serviette de plage propre tous les jours. Les drinks sont délicieux et il y a beaucoup de choix. Je vous conseille d'essayer le Sea Breeze... pina colada avec amaretto...hum... Il y a aussi trois piscines dont une avec de l'animation et aussi des jaccuzzis sur le récif. L'endroit est fabuleux... La nourriture est excellente. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Le buffet est varié à tous les soirs et il y a aussi trois restaurants à la carte que vous avez droit sur le site. Le Mexicain est un peu décevant car il n'y a pas beaucoup de choix. L'Italien est délicieux et le restaurant de fruits de mer est succulent. Je vous suggère le red snapper farci...un régal. Il y a beaucoup d'activités sur le site, si vous participez, vous aurez beaucoup de plaisirs, les GO sont vraiment sympatiques. Si vous voulez rester tranquille, ils ne vous dérangent pas, ils ne sont pas envahissants comme certaines places... Les spectacles de soirées sont hilarants. Si vous désirez faire des excursions, je vous conseille d'aller chez Mel's dans la ville de Sosua juste en face de l'hôtel. C'est beaucoup moins cher qu'à l'hotel et surtout il faut les négocier. Exemple: nous sommes allés à Paradise Island pour 40$chacun au lieu de 80$ à l'hotel. Si vous prenez cette excursion, il y a 4 heures d'autobus à faire pour se rendre au bateau, avoir su nous ne serions pas aller car c'est pénible 8 heures d'autobus sur une route de gravier dans une même journée... En résumé, je vous conseille fortement le Casa Marina Beach. La plage est superbe, le sable doré, la nourriture excellent, le site sublime... L'animation est très divertissante. Oups, j'oubliais, si vous amenez vos ados, dites-leur qu'il y a beaucoup de monokini en République, les miens étaient un peu scandalisés. Ha! Ha! Bon voyage...

  For what you should pay for this resort, the facilities, food and staff were either average (room condition), good or very good. I read the people making major complaints about separate beds or not having bottled water or the food being samey. We paid 400 euros to stay for one night before taking the plane and the food and rooms at the stopover hotel near Munich Airport was on a par with that we experienced in Casa Marina Beach. And we had to pay for the bottled water in the German hotel ;-). We saw 3 rooms when we were there and they were all very similar. They were kept clean by daily maid service and we left a couple of dollars for them each day and this was greatly appreciated.

  More like sweet sherry mixed with vinegar and water.

  The Food is fab you must try the fish restaurant, in fact we ate there 4 times. The rooms are good, they could be better, but the staff aim to please.

  Keep the maid sweet and she will supply fresh clean towels daily.

  The food was great, especially the buffets. We flew into Santiago and had to take a cab about an hour and a half in no AC, the driver was driving all over the road and going very fast, it, was scary, bring your own towels, overall it was great have fun!

  00 at the gift shop and the bottles were tiny, bring rafts there are really no rules about where you can use them, don't exchange your American money before you go, the rates are better at the hotel then what we got at JFK (much better) We found that people were much more likely to give you a deal if you had American money, the atms only give pesos so bring money in all denominations.

  Beautiful grounds, beautiful beach, 3 pools-- always a lounge chair available. The food was excellent, there was a huge variety to choose from. The a la carte restaurants were awesome-- the Jalepeno was my personal favourite. The staff works very hard to please the guest, and they were all fabulous.

  We expected atleast a king size bed, in a half way decent room. The food was mediocre at best, every single thing tasted the same, breakfast , lunch and dinner, the only thing we enjoyed was the coffee. The beach was small, not the crystal blue water you hope for on a carribean vacation Our toilet over flowed and it took over 5 hours to get someone to come an look at it, and then another 2 hours to get someone to come clean up the mess.

  We booked a king sized bed, and a special honeymoon package. Well, we got two double beds, and they refused to switch rooms, so we had to push the beds together. For the whole week, we got 1 x 500 ml bottle of water and a fruit plate, that was our "special Honeymoon package!

  It is relaxed, the food is good, the coffee great, the omelettes great, for the price it is fantastic. I must say get a room on the beach side, not the reef side.

  We stayed in 922 on the Beach side of the resort, the room was fine for us, it had two double beds, bath / shower, TV and Balcony. We had one problem during our stay and that was the bath in the room above leaked into our bath, one call to maintenance and it was sorted! Lunch we mainly ate at the “Mexican” as it was right near the pool and was fine for us, they mainly did chicken, chips, fish, ribs, pizza, salad and burgers. There are three pools, the largest at the Reef side which has activities all day long ranging from aerobics, volley ball, basket ball, water polo and various “fun” games. There are also three Jacuzzi’s built into the reefs, we went to these every day to watch the sun set with a cocktail of the day! There are two beaches, a quiet one and an activities one, we went to both beaches and tried a few of the water sports.

  Yes these are cold water Jacuzzi’s but they are very refreshing especially as we had extremely hot weather with very little rain for the whole two weeks.
