I would say this hotel is slightly above average since all I wanted was the above at a relatively affordable price (compared to the rest of DC).
It was not a luxury hotel, but was a great hotel for the price.
We were happy with the price we paid, since DC hotels can be much more expensive!
This hotel offered an excellent value for our trip to Washington.
The location is convenient for work or a tourist visit to Washington, the hotel is located very close to a thousand great restaurants and nice and helpfull staff Brand new furniture.
Great location, as well as U street night life and friendly staff direct you to nearby Safeway's to get basic supplies.
I liked the location, just 20 walking minutes to downtown and good shopping nearby as well.
Location near the Metro and the concierge helped us try to get a taxi under very difficult circumstances.
The hotel is located about 5 blocks from the Red Line Dupont Circle Metro Station.
The rooms we got were actually spacious suites with well equiped kitchens, tiny but nice bathrooms, a nice sitting space and a lot of room.
For the two of us we could have had individual rooms (with shared baths) in a pleasant Bed &Breakfast for just a few dollars more, and it would have been much better.
Medium sized room, huge flat screen TV, comfortable bed, good location and free wireless - what does any traveler need?
Washroom: There was no bath tub, just a shower, toilet, heat lamp and sink.
This hotel really suited us as our two-double bed suite came with a full kitchen (stove, microwave, toaster, 4-cup coffee maker, pots/pans, utensils, etc.
The surrounding streets were mainly residential but there were plenty of restaurants & shops nearby (would recommend the Italian restaurant round the corner from the hotel and the Front page Bar & Grill at Dupont Circle!
It is relatively small and there is a bar with a continental breakfast, but not really a restaurant.

The reception staff were really friendly and helpful and the restaurant and bar area were very nice - all done in art deco style.
This area is nice, i will recommend to all my friends as a great place to stay in the city and prompt service of the front desk staff.
We found the staff on the front desk to be very helpful & knowledgeable with things such as directions, cashing travellers cheques etc.
There is some free parking, but as I used to live right down the street from the hotel, parking is very challenging in this hopping neighborhood-I really recommend not bringing a car if you plan to stay here or anywhere else in downtown D.
There's no gym, but they will give you a day pass to the WSC, which is about 6 blocks away.
I myself ,is involved in the travel industry, well traveled ,i can say that i was amazed with the whole decor, the lobby colors.
Also - bring a Ethernet cable if you want access to the high speed Internet - we were able to get onto the wireless in one spot, but that was only because we were on the second floor right above the business center.
Two phone lines are provided and free wireless internet access.
The bathroom itself was quite small, but with a very big shower and it was always spotless clean with fresh towels every day.
Staff very helpful, clean rooms and chic art deco bar were spotless.
The room throughout was spotless and very light & airy.
The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and the place looks great, lovely art deco decorations.
The room was clean, in good condition, and a long three blocks from the metro stop at Dupont Circle.
