Carlton George Hotel Glasgow - 格拉斯哥

The hotel's location could not have been better for sightseeing or for traveling to and from Glasgow (it's located about 20 yards/meters from the train station).

The Carlton George is in a very central location just off George Square and right next to Queen Street railway station and Buchanan Street underground station.

Fantastic location, good proximity to the train stations and also liked the fact you can park the car at the Buchanan Galleries.

A big plus point is the great location, just off one of the main shopping streets in Glasgow, we didn't have to take a taxi anywhere but to the airport during the weekend.

About a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport, costing about 17 pounds.

The service was faultless, the room a good size, huge bed, spotlessly clean and a lovely bathroom.

The bed was comfortable and the en suite had a lovely big bath.

ROOM: Large, big bed, reasonable bathroom (shower pressure feeble sadly), armchairs and table, desk, free WiFi, bathrobes & slippers.

Other than these faults, the rooms was comfortable with good quality furnishing, Great location (I can't think of better in Glasgow), comfortable bed, and a free minibar.

Our room was rather dark but other aspects of the hotel made up for it: free mini-bar and decanters of spirits, lovely service and a large, comfortable bed.

The staff were very helpfull and friendly,"Window's" restaurant was lovely and clean with view's over the Glasgow rooftop's,great choice of food at breakfast although the coffee was rather strong.

We ate in Windows restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner.

The restaurant "Windows" provides views across the rooftops of Glasgow so you can appreciate the wealth of architecture while you eat breakfast and get your bearings for the rest of the day.

The food was nice in the roof terrace restaurant and the breakfasts were nice also.

WINDOWS RESTAURANT: Breakfast both mornings very good - all cooked to order so did take 10-15 mins for cooked food to arrive, but when it did it was piping hot and plentiful.

Excellent customer service from the staff, very friendly reception staff.

The staff could not have been more courteous, whether in reception, the maids or in the restaurant.

The location is perfect, the hotel have a special price arranged and the reception staff could not have been more friendly.

Shops/restaurants was quiet inside, the hotel itself was wonderful and all other reception staff were very pleasant.

Perhaps the only downsides to this hotel are the lack of facilities (no pool, etc.

Check out was quick and we were even given a 70% discount on our parking at Buchanan Galleries.

There is absolutely no parking close by and to load and unload luggage at the door is terrible.

In addition the rooms are spotless, restaurant on the 7th floor also very good.

Great value all round, excellent staff and rooms were clean and comfortable.

The rooms (we had 4 between the 5 of us over the two visits) were clean, large, and well stocked with complementary stuff including snacks, soda and adult liquids.

The rooms were warm and cosy (essential for the cold and wet weekend in December) and were very clean.

The most welcome surprise was that we were executive guests and all the drink in the room was complimentary, including having crystal glasses to drink out of.
