The hotel is beautiful, the architecture of the building couldn't be any better and its luxury the comfortable price.
The hotel is certainly not 5 star by most standards, but we found it to be good value as we paid only €170 for 2 nights (thursday & friday).
I'm not too sure about the price, I stay here for business and I think we have a pretty good deal with the hotel so can't comment for general guests.
This hotel was great, I got a deal through Easyjethotels and it cost me about GBP 50 a night.
Well located and hotel location is perfect center of Bilbo.
It is a classic and beautiful hotel in a perfect location situated between the old town and the Guggenheim museum.
Great location next to metro, excellent value for money and very helpful staff.
It was closer to a three star and it is unbelievable that they have not better soundproofing on the windows considering the very busy location.
The airport bus and metro are located just steps from the hotel.
We booked a standard room which was fine, plenty of room very large bed good sized bathroom etc could have done with tea and coffee making facilities.
The marble bath has a separate toilet/bidet room and two sinks.
Bed was v comfy and the bathroom was huge.
Our room was very spacious, and the beds are extremely comfortable.
The king bed was two queens pushed together with a king headboard.
room - 311, quiet bar and advising on the best restaurants.
Spamish the staff in the dining room/breakfast room were very pleasant.
We went for a meal in the restaurant on one of the nights.
The bar is has an odd atmosphere to it too, there are only about 5 tables in it and it is not very private, we took our drink out to the lounge which we had to ourselves and it was much nicer.
Breakfast was excellent, i was happy that made a right choice in faver of Carlton.
Additionally this continues in the grand lobby you get a friendly reception, staff is glacial at best and rooms appeared to be newly renovated.
Upon complaining the reception staff shrugged their shoudlers and did nothing else.
Very centrally located and the rooms are spacious and clean but found the reception staff to be very unhelpful, I don't know if this was because of a lack of the English language or just plain unhelpful.
Location was the best, the Hotel Carlton was a spectacular surprise and the service was polite and helpful.
The turkish bath they advertise was just a very small steam sauna located in the gym.
Beautiful building and the lobby area is very nice.
The lobby is lovely when you walk into the hotel and the central seating area.

The Hotel is old-worldy - but clean, good condition and modern bathroom facilities.
