Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel

Great location for touring Irelands west coast and the hotel is situated near the harbour is a pleasant area.

Beautiful location next to quays and hotel Staff very helpful and friendly.

We actually loved the location, it is close to some really great pubs and restaurants.

Choice of restaurants around the area was great and comfort of hotel staff were very nice excellent too rooms of high standard n lovely location close to town.

5 miles from the town, but taxis are available all the time.

The family room consisted of 1 double bed and 2 single beds.

The facilities and furnishings were poor: sheets were too small for the bed and there was no bath towel.

This room was fine but did note there was holes in bed covers and also in towels.

Our room was lovely with a king size and a single bed.

Eventually, we moved the kids into my husband's aunt's room where they slept on the floor on top of the bed comforters.

The friendly staff just make all the nicer, the bar is nice and cosy, the restaurant upstairs they serve breakfast is lovely.

There is also a nice little restaurant/bar off of the main lobby to enjoy a bite to eat and features some traditional Irish music in the evenings.

They also stop serving food in both the restaurant and the bar at 9.

Do not eat in this restaurant, there are so many lovely and cheaper restaurants in the town which is only a short walk away.

The room was grim, the food at breakfast inedible (we didn't dare try dinner) and you couldn't have a relaxing drink in the evening as each night there was "Entertainment" in the bar, the volume of which would have pleased many a Led Zepp fan.

The service is terrific, the head waiter is extremely professional and you can see that it filters through to his staff.

The views from our room was magnificent, service in the restaurant was excellent was surprising for a hotel restaurant and the staff were very friendly and accomodating.

Especially at such a good rate, helpful staff and receptionist very helpfull.

We found the leisure facilities and although the gym was very small, the pool was of a sufficient size to do some serious lengths!

Overall this is a decent hotel with good leisure facilities (pool, sauna), but avoid the road facing rooms where the noise can be too much to bare on a weekend night.

Our room which overlooked the harbour was very clean & fresh.

The hotel was clean, the staff were ever so pleasant and the rooms were adequate.

The staff were friendly, the rooms were spotless a credit to the girls doing.

The rooms were fairly standard but very clean, the breakfasts were just gorgeous!
