Excellent room, spacious and bright. Friendly staff.
Dinner hinted at fine dining but came up short and represented moderate value for money. Same menu on offer in the dining room and the bar but the quality is more suited to the bar.

Ideal location, smart external appearance, bargain rate Friday night stay.
Dusty room - cobwebs and paper thin walls. Function room full of rowdy late night drinkers

The food at the bar was very good. And we were suprised about the big bathroom in our room.
Dirty toilet in lobby and the toiletseats are chipped. The book with guest information in the room fell apart. In the book there was no information about the swimmingpool. The paint on the staircase and walls were chipped. Overall not a hotel I expected for the money.

The Hotel is spacious, with large beds and bedrooms. The staff, food and decor excellent.
We loved the hotel, but we found the town of Athy needed to be made more attractive to visitors, It looks very dull.

The family room for my wife and 2 kids was huge. Kitchenette with fridge, living room, 2 bathrooms, and 2 large comfortable bedrooms - new hotel in an old converted convent worked really well.
No clock to set wake-up alarm, no hair dryer in room, no internet in room, water pump in closet ran all night -

Close to town. Leisure facilities. Nice old world "Abbey" feel to the hotel.
