Carlton Abbey Hotel Athy

The location is great (right in the town), the rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

The location was very good, the setting was great for this and staff were friendly & helpful.

The location is very central - off the main street in Athy town, can't say enough good things about this hotel and wonderful Staff could not do enough for us.

I liked the location of the hotel, friendly staff and the pool was at bath temperature - lovely.

Good central location, handy for on business in the town and a comfortable distance from Kilkenny.

The hotel I thought was lovely, had a twin room which was very nice, only downside was only 2 tv stations working and the walls were paper thin - heard baby crying very clearly next morning and also person in next bathroom running bath.

Bedroom was out of this world, great big double bed, great view looking out at the main road which we were quite a good bit away from, no traffic noise.

The 'King size bed' was two single beds pushed together(as is in many places) but had a big lump right down the middle.

Light bulbs were fused and the general cleanliness of the bed rooms wasn't great.

Hotel room nice, clodagh was great on reception and we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the bedroom.

In addition breakfast was good, food delicious in bar our 2 yr old got a free ice cream after dinner she and the spa was lovely.

Bar was really nice, breakfast was good and the waiter sammy was so friendly and helpful.

Ate as a group in the restaurant,service and food were excellent.

With out any word of a Lie the food we had was by far some of the best Cuisine I or in fact any of my family have exsperienced in Ireland.

Beds were huge, food in restaurant was lovely for a package like this.

Service in a wonderful atmosphere and staff were excellent all very well trauned.

She explained the hotel had seen big changes lately lots of new staff, the service was also good and the room was of a reasonable standard there was no minibar or safe.

Reception lobby spotless and helpful staff.

The room was really good and the pool Jacuzzi were beautiful very relaxing.

Varied menu in a very nice and lovely swimming pool.

Large enclosed shower, excellent Food and the very adequate pool.

Great facilities at the hotel, service excellent and the bedroom was very spacious & clean & comfortable.

No one came to remove them or clean the bathroom.
