Bottom line: If you are looking for an affordable, basic place to stay in Cancun that is situated in great location, with spectacular ocean views, then book here.

The location is perfect; walking distance to Plaza Forum, which is where Coco Bongo, Carlos and Charlies, Hard Rock etc are located.

The Carisa has an amazing location if you want to be close to all the highlights of Cancun.

On arrival we were slightly dismayed at the appearance compared to the other luxury 5 star resorts we passed on the way from the airport.

There is a bus right outside if you dont want to take cabs everywhere.

I was told this was a condo and that couldnt be farther from the truth, the room was very small, had 2 beds that were hard as a rock, the air conditioner was sooooo loud that you couldnt hear the tv with the volume all the way up.

Furthermore walmart in Cancun is better than any Walmart Ive been to, one of the nice staff guys told use not to use the phones in the room or the lobby and the beds are not the most comfortable.

The rooms are a good size with kitchenettes, two beds, tv and not much else.

The room was VERY large which was nice but the beds were very hard and the air conditioner broke two days before we left.

I peaked into the other middle room while the maid was in there and they were bigger with good counter space, I guess they reserve those rooms for those that pay more.

There is a bar/restaurant and a small grocery on site, a pool and palapas by the water.

Spacious accommodation fot the money and including fast food restaurants.

The amenities of the complex are basic, swimming pool, quiet restaurant, reception and small supermarket.

Furthermore hot water every day and quiet restaurant.

All the action (clubs, restaurants, souvenirs) is within walking distance.

There is virtually no staff other than front desk.

The great thing about this place, friendly staff and helpfull especially the maids.

Wouldn't stay there again you paid me, the staff were very helpful and our maid was so nice we enjoyed talking to her every time we saw here.

The view of the gulf/ocean from our room was just AWEsome, the hotel waiter was really friendly and the staff were also very helpful.

The elevator fits 3 people but there are two elevators.

I was disappointed when I first walked in the lobby.

It looked very low budget and when I saw the old rickety elevator I was even more dissapointed.

In addition the room was large and clean.

The rooms were spacious, and kept very clean.

Service was good, the room was clean and two pluses= the pool was nice.

The room was clean and in good repair when we arrived.

The room was not very clean when we arrived.
