Quiet location, good prices and clean room.
I would recommend this hotel because of its proximity to the vast shopping area and Pittsburgh International airport.
You need a vehicle to get around to downtown and shopping, but there is a bus stop nearby.
The front desk receptionist gave us a new room which had no air conditioning, and the hot water knob was missing fron the bathroom sink.
Then, when I turned the bed down, they had it made with 2 flat sheets (king bed) & the sheet had burn-holes.
While trying to fix the curtain, I saw an empty bottle, a cigarette (in my NON-smoking room), and God knows what in the corner next to the window behind the 'recliner' chair.
We attempted to call the receptionist, but there was no phone in the room.
Then, when I got to my room, the curtain was drooping in the center.
Nice local restaurant/bar and friendly manager.
The continental breakfast wasn't very good, but the coffee in the lobby was good.
There is a restaurant nearby and shopping close by.
Complimentary continental breakfast was included, staff was friendly.
Very quiet area, good value and the guy at the front desk was very friendly.
Then, I couldn't find the damn remote for the TV, so I went to call the front desk, but ALAS- my phone did NOT work AT ALL.
I complained, but the staff didn't even blink an eye & just apologized blankly as if they heard it every day 10x per day!
Back at the office told the receptionist that we couldn't stay there.
Went next door to the Motel 6 where we got a CLEAN cheap room.
We are not fussy clean nut people, but these Travel Inn rooms are absolutely unbearable!
The room was very small but clean and perfect for a 'base' for the business traveler or get-away traveler.
