Immaculately clean hotel, freshly renovated rooms, excellent location. Very very helpful and extremely helpful staff, free wake up calls and ironing. The in-house restaurant on the premises. Really nice experience there.

The hotel was placed in the very central location in city centre. My room was extremely spacious and retro, had smoke detectors for safety measures. The breakfast was traditional, the check in was friendly.

This hotel is a nice base for a trip in Palo Alto. The stuff is being really kind. I loved my room - reasonably spacious and retro with shared bathroom. The location is marvellous and unbeatable, in the center of the city. There is a great in-house restaurant, serving tasty dishes.

New-fashioned and neat room for what we needed with a shared bath and the bathroom, as for instance. The airport was 19 miles away from here, fantastic location. Being minutes from Osteria was nice, we had dinner there.

Conveniently located in downtown Palo Alto, the Cardinal Hotel exceeded my expectations. The early 1900's charm of the common areas added a unique touch to my stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Plus, the area is filled with fantastic restaurants, making it easy to find delicious meals. I highly recommend this hotel for its location, charm, and comfort.

The location was fantastic close to all main attractions. And we were near to restaurants, cafes, Caltrain, Stanford University and more, Menlo Park and Palo Alto, and all the sports venues.

The location is perfect. Rooms are very clean!
During my 8 day stay, I did not have any positive interactions with the front desk staff. They were rude, at best. I have a physical disability and this front desk staff did nothing to help me with my challenges. Not at all handicap friendly or handicap concerned. The antique elevator has a manual door that is heavy and very difficult if you have paralysis and no one is willing to assist you. No air-conditioning. Only one washer and dryer and it is difficult to find it available. Lobby is dark and dingy and needs to be updated.
