This is a four star property in a charming 300 year old building that still retains some of its original architectural features like exposed brick walls and wood beam ceilings and also features a staff that is available when you need their attention. The overall décor is modern and bright including large modern art canvases that form a stunning contrast with the older features of the hotel.

Overview

The Caravaggio Hotel is located in the district of justice, in Cardinale Sisto Riario Sforza Square, one of the most ancient squares in Naples, close to the Pio Monte della Misericordia Church, which houses the famous Caravaggio’s painting “Le 7 Opere della Misericordia”.

The property, which is housed in the part of a renowned 17th century building, was opened in 2001 in the historical center of the city. The hotel features an elegant interior, a modern reception and access for disabled, as well as an air conditioning throughout the entire property, a laundry room, an elevator, a 24 hour front desk and a TV lounge.

Getting there

Guests can easily reach the venue from the Capodichino airport by taxi service, by bus 3S or ALIBUS till the railway station in Piazza Garibaldi. Then you may take the Bus CS at the bus stop near the Garibaldi Statue Monument and get off at the second stop of Via Duomo. The hotel will be just a short way down the street, when you turn right onto Via Tribunali.

Location good for experiencing the old, narrow cobblestone streets of the city and the hotel is in the heart of the historical centre. All the staff is very friendly and willing to help you on your way, the bathroom and the sanitary facilities are perfectely cleaned.

Perfect location for my needs, beautiful hotel and the front desk staff were extremely helpful. The room was large, the lamp by the bed had burned out light bulbs and the breakfast had a decent selection of pastries.
