Capital Hilton Washington - 华盛顿哥伦比亚

Located 2 blocks from the White House, the hotel is in an excellent location (for active people) for the majority of the sites.

Although the hotel would seem to be centrally located, only 3-4 block from the White House, we found the location not to be very desireable.

It was clean, very pretty, safe neighborhood, great location (2 blocks from white house and mcpherson metro station), great breakfast buffet, nice staff.

We arrived at National Airport and took the Metro, took all of about 20 minutes door to door!

It's a short walk to two metro stations, nice restaurants and historic sites.

He brought us into the very spacious room, which had a king-size bed, armoire with TV, small bar area with separate sink, seating area, desk and divided bathroom (sink separate from toilet and shower).

Also, in our room, the bathroom was directly in front of the bed, so if you didn't want to stare at the toilet, you had to keep the bathroom door closed.

Suite with a king bed, view of 15th street (I think) and a huge bathroom.

I, in fact, was not happy in my queen room especially when I pulled back the supposedly clean sheets on the bed to find hair in both beds (definitely not a random stray hair from the housekeeper).

My room had a small living area with a loveseat and TV, while the separate sleeping area featured a king bed and another television (this one a small wide-screen model).

Used the restaurant a number of times because a lot of external restaurants were not open at this time of year but would also recommend at least one meal at Georgia Brown's just around the corner.

We had a tower room which included a continental breakfast each morning, snacks, honor bar and cookies in the evening.

There were a wide variety of restaurants within easy walking distance (even with my five year old) and so we didn't try the hotel restaurant which seemed very overpriced.

We then asked the concierge for any other recommendations for restaurants with kids menus and he gave us several restaurant menus, but after hearing that we really wanted to go to McCormick and Schmicks, he made a call and got us in in 10 minutes.

Breakfast at the Twigs restaurant (also included in the rate) consisted of a very nice buffet plus coffee and juices.

Perfect location, great hotel and the staff was exceptional from the front desk service right down to the doormen.

We found all staff members to be friendly except one front desk clerk that was neither friendly nor unfriendly, well, to put it nicely: needs customer service training.

The lobby and lobby bar are very nice, elevators are speedy.

On the downside, parking is expensive: $35 a day and the gym is not free to guests.

I also appreciated having access to the health club, which is a true, full-service gym/spa and not just a room with a couple of exercise machines.

The hotel offers wireless high speed internet.

Wireless internet access for 24 hours cost an additional $13.

We had no problems at all during our stay, the room was clean and tidy every day when we returned and the one night we had room service it was prompt and not too expensive considering!

The room itself was fine, comfortable, and clean.

The room was spacious and clean and had all the usual comforts including Crabtree & Evelyn products.

The rooms are nice, clean and reasonable well furnished but they lack the feel of luxury present in the public areas.

Housekeeping kept the room spotless, but in the hallways no one ever responded to my "good morning" or "hello".
