Canary Hotel Santa Barbara - 圣巴巴拉

First off, the hotel is situated in the best possible location in the heart of downtown SB by State Street.

Location: Best location for shopping & dining on the State Street and very centrally located, foot steps away from Saks Fifth Avenue.

If you wanna be close to good restaurants and nice shopping, as well not too far from the beach The Canary Hotel has a good location.

We didn't have to take a cab anywhere or need to drive our cars.

Across the street on the Carillo side is a Greyhound station, and on the Chapala side, is a gas station.

Beautiful wood floors, sumptious bed, large bathroom, great shower (neatest shower head I have ever seen) and lots of little amenities in the room for you to purchase.

We had a courtyard junior suite which was tiny - we had hoped to sleep our two teenagers on the sofa bed but there was no way - and for $525 room rate we had expected to be able to!

Great decor: duvets on beds, spanish tiles in bath, comfy easy chairs, candles, comfy robes, good amenities in bath, separate tub & shower.

There was one tv on the bed side of the room and another tv on the sofa side of the room.

We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant and a few bottles of wine.

We love going to Tuttini's restaurant for breakfast, just a half block away.

Restaurant: We had breakfast at the Coast.

The restaurant was ok, I think it should have been a better quality, I would eat elsewhere if you are looking for gourmet food.

We did not eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on that.

Secondly, this hotel has great service - from the moment we got there - we felt taken care of - the bellmen, concierge, to the front desk team - to the restaurant - they were all super friendly, nice and very accommodating.

During our stay we continued to receive very poor service from the front desk staff.

The front desk staff obviously does not know much about customer service.

Knowing that the event was going on (we saw the bride in the elevator), we called the front desk to ask if the jacuzzi/pool was open.

The rooftop deck includes a pool and spa with a beautiful view of the city and mountain.

The rooftop bar with pool & jacuzzi is awesome - if you make it up there to relax!

We ended up borrowing a cord to use the net wired - which involved setting the whole thing up on my computer to my server - over an hour to do this - the first hour in the hotel, as it turns out, spent with the IT guy, and not my husband - not good.

The hotel was nice, the staff was exceptionally helpful and the room was clean.

NOTE: Santa Barbara has a very large homeless population, excellent service and the room was lovely and clean.

Very clean definitely newer hotel, great service and the room was small for we paid.

The view of Santa Barbara is fabulous, the furnishings throughout the hotel are beautiful and the rooms themselves are spotlessly clean.

The staff is friendly, the rooms themselves are spotlessly clean and the facilities are nice.
