  Hotel staff not helpful at all.

  Booked a suite for my best friends wedding night and asked staff to place some items(champagne, flowers and rose pedals) in the room for their special night. STaff assured me it would be done and it was not. They also double charged my credit card for the room and did not honor their free breakfast for booking the suite.

  I had read from many of the other reviews on other web sites about how great this hotel was but to be careful of the hidden fees. The hotel was great as was the bed, but I am still in a disput with the hotel because even though I had reserved the room at a specific rate before my visit, when I checked out of the room the rate they charged me was $60 higher per night than the rate on my reservation reciept. Also they added a $25 a day fee for using electricity in the room, which I find to just be rediculous. I had to check out early in the morning to get to the airport and the person who could have corrected my bill was not at the hotel. So as great as the hotel and the restaurant were, I'm not sure if I will ever stay here again, as they charged me about double the rate that I had agreed to pay when booking the room and have not fixed the situation in a timely manner.

  The restaurant was good, but with hotel prices. The pool was unheated and the pool area not very charming. Room service food was very good and the same price. The water from the tap is drinkable (if over chlorinated) -- I am a gringo and had no ill effects -- so no need to drink the bottle water.

  There are no restaurants within walking distance and you should not stay here if you are a tourist: it is extremely safe, but boring here. To get there, go out the side door, then walking to your right around the parking garage and one block along the driveway to the stand, which abuts camino santa teresa.

  The food excellent, along with the accommodation.

  Me and my husband decided to stay last October, 2007 for pamper your partner weekend. We were very pleasantly surprised. This was will advised, as the cozy restaurant soon became very busy. The meal was excellent and the restaurant staff was very courteous and accommodating. The town is an old favorite of ours, as we used to live there. However, even though it only takes us around 50 minutes to get there from our current home, this was a well deserved treat and we have booked to go again in two weeks time along with a couple of friends. Very much recommend for the price.

  The public areas are immaculate, as well as the rooms. By the time we checked in (11pm) the only room options available were a King Room-Smoking or Double Room Non Smoking. This being Mexico, and Mexicans love to smoke, I was not taking a chance with the smoking room. It was a bit of disappointment, considering I had requested a non-smoking king room.

  I booked the reservation on the Camino Real website and got the "Summer Promotional" rate. If you drink the water found in the bathroom you will be charged MXN 40 (plus gratuity). If you drink the Evian water in the minibar you'll be charged MXN 50 a bottle.

  Ask for your balance/summary some time in advance and check it thoroughly, you may find some unexpected charges, e.g. if you drink water from the bottle of filtered water you found in your room, say one glass a day... they charge one bottle a day, 4.30 dollars plus tax. I also checked my credit card balance and found a charge from this hotel made ... 3 days before I arrived.

  Rooms were good size, very nicely furnished and bedding comfortable. Bathrooms also excellent, well illuminated. Floor to ceiling windows (don't open) relatively quiet, but ask for room facing away from street.
