I absolutely loved the beautiful decor of the hotel, with its contemporary interiors and modern fittings. The communal areas were adorned with stunning paintings by local artists, which changed every month. It really added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall ambiance. As a senior woman, I also appreciated how accessible the hotel was for me. The staff were helpful and understanding, assisting me with any needs I had during my stay.
The only thing I would have asked for to make the vacation even better for senior people is if the children working there could provide a bit more assistance or guidance in exploring the surrounding area. It would have been helpful to have some recommendations for nearby attractions or perhaps organized tours that catered specifically to senior travelers.

We loved the awesome breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding little cities, studded on the opposite surrounding hills / mountain tops across the lake. The atmosphere is very relaxing and yet elegant at the same time. Our stay was an enjoyable late afternoon, 2 nights and an early morning. The weather was very hot on arrival of the first day, in the late afternoon and we really enjoyed our cocktails at the bar overloooking the lake, this was much needed to unwind and relax , after a long train travel, all the way from Venice that late morning. The dinner that evening was excellent with a great variety and lovely fish dishes which we enjoyed alot. Breakfast was equally enjoyed by all 4 of us. The staff is all friendly and efficient and manage to speak some english too, which helps when you don't speak much Italian. The hotel garden is beautiful and adds a romance and beauty to the atmosphere, with a lovely fountain at the centre. They have a lovely jacuzzi overlooking the lake, unfortunatelly we realised to late to be able to use it, only open for use from 10h00 till 20h00. Next day it poured with rain whole day, so we could not use it either, a pity, it is in such an amazing location.
Our 2 rooms had no airconditioners in them and with the heat, we had to sleep with our windows open and shutters closed. Fresh air came in, but so did all the train noise, as their is a station very close behind the hotel called Colmegna. Also very close to the road tunnel ,so cars hoot when they come around the corner all day and night and this can be disturbing, when you are in your room and trying to sleep or rest. We had 2 rooms with view of lake,on lake side of hotel and not on the road side of the hotel.

Great breakfast terrace with a view over the lake. Clean and quiet.
Booked.net states that the hotel is only about 18 km away from Locarno, but that is the linear distance, so it's completely misleading. In actual fact it is around 35 km from Locarno, so it takes a good 3/4 of an hour to get there by car - not ideal if you want to be close to the town.

The hotel offers a beautiful location with magnificent views of the lake. The outside spaces, including seating, loungers, and daybeds, provide a fantastic spot to relax. The staff offers great service by the lake, making it enjoyable to have drinks and enjoy the scenery. The breakfast and restaurant for dinner are wonderful, with a wide variety of delicious options. Onsite free parking is also available.
Felt very homey, no complaints.

Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Nice garden. Picturesque lakeside location. Nice room, BUT note, we cannot comment on a standard double room, as booked, as we were upgraded to junior suite, free of charge, because the hotel was full
Parking can be limited when the hotel is full. The hotel is situated by a main, rather narrow, road and is between two tunnels which restricts the distance one can walk along the lakeside. Rather expensive. No airconditioning in the room which could be a problem in high summer.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! The location right on the shore of Lake Maggiore with gardens on different levels was absolutely breathtaking. I could sit and admire the stunning views all day long. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, and the service they provided was top-notch. I felt truly pampered during my stay. The room was spacious and luxurious, with all the amenities I could ask for. I particularly enjoyed the welcome drink and the delicious snacks that were automatically presented to me. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the breakfast spread was extensive and mouthwatering. I also took advantage of the leisure facilities, such as the sauna and the swimming pool, which provided a perfect way to relax and unwind.my experience at this hotel was nothing short of 5-star quality.
If I had to recommend one thing, it would be that this hotel is perfect for families as well. With a children's play area, a children's pool, and babysitting services, it provides a great experience for families looking to have a wonderful vacation together.

Located in a fantastic location with a fantastic view over Lago Maggiore, the Hotel has also a romantic garden you can walk and relax, with SPA and sun area. The restaraunt is very good as well, with almost all tables looking over the lake. I went with my wife and 3 children and the quadruple room was very nice, with view on the lake.
Only minus is the parking: during the evening should be better organised to make sure people staying in the hotel have their reserved place, leaving the other restaurant visitors park in the remaining space, having to leave after the dinner. Also, it should be placed a sign on the main entrance banning to turn on the left when exiting, since it is pretty dangerous.

I had the most wonderful stay at a charming hotel by the lake with stunning gardens. The old-world charm of the place, coupled with the warm and friendly staff, made me feel right at home. I loved exploring the little nooks and crannies in the garden while enjoying the breathtaking lake views. Although they host weddings, it didn't bother me at all. I would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again myself.

Beautiful garden view from the room, spacious and comfortable shower room. The breakfast offers a wonderful selection of fresh produce and a breathtaking view of the lake.
The hotel is located on a busy highway which can be noisy. Wi-fi connection was not the best.

We spent our Christmas holidays at a charming hotel overlooking a beautiful lake. The staff was friendly and the breakfast spread was amazing with fresh fruit and delicious smoothies. The hotel was located in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of the cities nearby, which made it perfect for a relaxing break. The room was comfortable, and we had a great view of the blooming roses and vines surrounding the hotel. The hillside village behind the hotel was also great for a morning walk and run.
The hotel lacked activities, which meant that we had to stock up on essentials beforehand since the nearest town was quite far. The hotel could be challenging to access if you do not have a car, and transport could be quite expensive if you opt for taxis.

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful hotel. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a larger and more luxurious room, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is located right on the lakeside, providing direct access to the stunning lake. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, especially during the hot summer days. The hotel offers excellent room service and housekeeping, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The staff treated us like old friends, always attentive and friendly. We were impressed with the wide range of amenities available, including a sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a beachfront area. The hotel also offers tours and ticket assistance, making it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a variety of delicious cheese and other options to choose from. we had a fantastic experience at this hotel.
