Cambridge Beaches Resort Sandys Parish - Sandys

I did loved the privacy and location of Cambridge.

I’d summarize CB as a 6-star location with 4-star service.

A brand new modern Four Seasons it is not, but CB is a classic, elegant, welcoming spot with a perfectly beautiful location and terrific staff.

We finally arrived to a surly reception at Reception made mention that the TAXI we had requested through them was a no show to the reply being "Well there are always more Taxis at the Airport!

The hotel is located about 45 minutes from the airport(far for Bermuda)and out of the way from most of the popular restaurants,we did not mind as the taxis were always on time.

The room was spacious with a huge king size bed, big bathroom with jacuzzi, and two steps down from the "bed room" a little sitting room with a love seat, two chairs and a TV and huge glass window door overlooking the ocean.

Our room, actually more of a Suite, with huge bathroom, immaculate, great air conditioning, very quiet and efficient, wonderful views.

The rooms are massive, we had a water view and could see the ocean from our bed which was lovely.

Our cottage was enchanting, a real old Bermuda home with cedar beams and doors, we had a large sitting room, hallway, dressing room, bathroom and bedroom.

Some people might think the rooms are a bit dated, however the bed was very comfortable and the cleaning/turndown service was top notch.

We did the breakfast only meal plan and found the buffet breakfasts to be wonderful.

Food in the restaurant was delicious, breakfasts excellent aswell.

The breezes beach restaurant, shutters pool restaurant were great for lunch and breakfast buffet and patio service ( 5$ extra a person) were good.

The only restaurant worth patronising in the evening is the Beach Bar, where the food is at least edible and Tony and his staff do provide a welcome.

Since meals were included, we ate four-star food in the restaurant at our leisure and there was tea every day at 4PM complete with scones and clotted cream (which ruined our dinner appetites, but we somehow overcame it).

On the subject of customer service, the guest services and front desk staff are unhelpful at best and often surly, whether the request is to arrange a game of golf or assist in arranging transport.

I agree with other reviews that the concierge and reception staff weren't very helpful and at times not as friendly as a true 5 star should be.

All the reception staff and waiters were incredibly nice, very helpful and so so friendly!

When we got to reception, the concierge knew who we were and told us that they had just sent a plate of food to our room, which was great because we didn't have any food on the plane.

Much of our time was spent in the magnificent spa: a large heated indoor pool (retractable roof), a small heated, salted whirlpool, and a jacuzzi.

There is a gym and a spa on the property too, if you tend to overextend yourself gastronomically, as I did.

The spa was also very good, although the Gym was a little inadequate - but i did'nt go on holiday to work out!

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, but not quite pristine.

This hotel is a perfect spot to relax, the staff are most helpful pleasant and the rooms are beautifully clean.

The room was clean and the food was in general good.

A very beautiful place, caring staff and our suite was beautifully appointed and spotless.

Clean bathrooms right there, the food is very good and the new pool is gorgeous.
