Hotel Calipolis Sitges - 锡切斯

It is a prime location close to the downtown area and right across from the beach.

The location is the reason why you pick this hotel.

This hotel has the No1 location in Sitges and I previously stayed here 2 years ago when the rooms were a little tired and dated.

Being right opposite the gay beach it is a great location and well worth getting the sea views!

Construction of the underground car park looks nearing completion and as we didn't spend any time at the hotel during the day we are not sure about the noise this creates.

The only negative comment I would have is that our room had 2 single/double beds pushed together rather than 1 big bed.

Booked the room for �99 on-line for one night only, got a wonderful suite with spacious bedroom, bathroom and sitting room.

The room was always kept cleaned and organized, with plenty of space in the room (I had a double bed) and in the bathroom.

Also I had requested a double bed, and the room we had had two single beds made seperatly pushed together, when I mentioned it to the duty manager on reception he just shrugged.

The hotel itself has a great location and our standard sea view room was really nice with a comfortable (if slightly too hard bed) and the view from our 6th floor balcony was stunning.

If you’re not in the mood to go to one of their restaurants inside the hotel or bar (and they have a good breakfast!

The restaurant was nice, although I only ate there once, for breakfast.

We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant but had snacks, coffees and drinks from the Terrace Bar which was great.

IT IS STILL A VERY GOOD HOTEL - However, when I stayed last week (Feb 4 thru Feb 9 2005 - for "mardi gras/carnival" the entire ground floor has been gutted to allow for the construction of a new bar & restaurant area on the ground floor.

Likewise in the restaurant at breakfast; the breakfast buffet was extensive and varied, from cereal to breads, eggs and bacon to tortilla!

We stayed for the 2nd time and I must admit the service of the front desk staff and the breakfast waiters is much, much better now.

Some of the reception staff were a bit haughty - maybe more on a wavelength with business travellers - and there was no safe deposit facility/service at reception.

Fantastic location for the beach, good service all round, room was superb with a great view of the sea, spotlessly clean and staff very friendly - will definitely return again.

The staff at the reception and throughout the hotel spoke English very well and were quite patient with my attempts at Spanish.

The lobby/restaurant/pool area are top notch (recently redone) and feel very European/modern.

I'm not sure why this hotel is rated as 4 stars since they do not have a swimming pool nor a gym.

There is also a swimming pool being installed on what was the main terrace by the front door.

It was very nice, clean and pretty comfortable considering we had single beds.

Friendly helpful personnel and clean rooms.

All communal areas and my room were very smart and scupulously clean.

The rooms were great, clean and spacious.

They would only clean around your things in the room, rather than move them out of the way.
