It is difficult to find. There are very few street signs on the island. If it wasn't for some locals that pointed us there we wouldn't have found it.

Loved the welcome when we arrived late at nite and were offered drinks and food. A fireplace was lit up and felt very relaxed and welcome.
The room was bit small. However it was clean and comfortable. There was no shower towels and no place to hang them. It will be better if this can be changed on a daily basis. This hotel was very noisy as it was a wooden floor house and we struggled to sleep well during the night.

The hotel building is a beautiful old wood mansion set high in the hill overlooking the twinkling lights of Istanbul in the distance. There is a heated clean pool and even a sauna available. If needed, a nice set meal was available with a good house wine.
The room was rather small due to a small shower/toilet room built into one corner of the space. This mean't that there was no room for bedside tables and there was only one reading light (set on a window sill) so 2 people could not read in the room. Initially the towels provided were tiny and we had to request proper ones. Also on one day our room was not made up nor towels changed (it was impossible to dry the towels ourselves each day due to lack of space) until we asked - well into the evening. We think the shower/toilet room may not have been cleaned at all in our 1 week stay. Part of these issues could be language - we spoke no turkish and the staff no english.Owner had very little english too. Not surprising in this part of Turkey!

The biggest advantage of this place is certainly the location. Breath- taking views, peaceful...
Overall the hotel is not offering good value for money. The rooms are small, the beds are literally glued together, the 'bathroom' is a section of the room walled off and the shower just hangs on the wall next to the toilet. The walls are (understandably) mouldy. The food is nice, but overpriced compared to the food in the village 5 minutes walk away. None of the staff knows more that 2 words of English. The owner kindly offered us glasses of refreshing spiced yoghurt drinks as we arrived (unsolicited, so we thought it was a free welcome drink), only to discover that on our bill the kind man charged us 4 € per glass, (local price is 0.5€ for this drink)... Clearly he cares more about quick extra profit than about the reputation of his hotel

The owner is a very welcoming and friendly man for whom no request was too much trouble. The staff are very helpful too, although the cook lady was a bit miserable at times. The location, while it is quite difficult to find at first, is very peaceful and once you know where to go, fairly convenient despite the steep climb home - people who are not very fit or good walkers would be advised to steer clear, the climb up the hill needs a bit of puff! The swimming pool is small but very clean and refreshing. The rooms are quite comfortable although a bit stuffy when the weather is hot. The breakfasts are simple but good and the evening meal is very tasty although a tad pricey compared to places in Buyukada town.
If you are expecting a "Western" style 'boutique' hotel, then you will be disappointed. In reality this is simply a small, OK value hotel for independent travellers who want a bit of peace and quiet and the luxury of a pool, sauna and jacuzzi (all small but fine as the hotel only appears to have 4 or 5 rooms). Look at it that way and you will be in for a treat; if you expect the Malmaison treatment then you'll be disappointed. Some of the service is slightly 'eccentric', albeit in an endearing way.

Beautiful location in a pine copse on a hill overlooking the harbour and onwards towards Istanbul. Quiet peaceful, witha super pool and helpful staff
A little hard to find - a map would help, and a steep hill to climb, but the view and peace were worth the difficulties of the location
