Buchanan Hotel

The situation is perfect, i liked the proximity to the queen street station and this hotel is in the best possible location in Glasgow to access inner-city attractions.

Well located, a lovely hotel in an excellent location and very friendly staff at reception.

Because of its central location can be quite noisy if there are live bands playing at the bar next door, depends where your room is situated, luckily we were at the back.

The hotel is regularly (every couple of minutes) shaken by the underground trains below.

Sound of trains going underground was too soft to disturb me although am easily disturbed by noises.

Incredible location right in the city centre, clean room and bathroom, comfortable, clean bed, wonderful food.

My wardrobe was the oldest thing i have even seen and did not close, the bed linen was old, matted wooly yellowish in style, the floor boards in another room my friend stayed in was nearly falling in at ta 45 degree angle.

The room was nice and clean , the bathroom was big ,only the over bath shower was a bit old and cheap.

We bought a beer each in the hotel bar on the night we arrived, and both ended up pouring it down the toilet before making our excuses and going to bed.

Second, even though we called ahead to ensure that we had a double bed, we ended up in a room with three twins.

Breakfast great and dinner menu extremely good value, altho we did not have time to eat due to conference dinners etc.

The breakfast was also great - a huge selection of both hot & cold dishes.

The tea shop/breakfast room was nice a bit dated, the hotel location was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful.

Regarding the breakfast, the only meal we had, apart from obvious items like beans and scrambled eggs, the rest was deep fried - bacon, sausage, tattie scones!

The food in the restaurant was barely edible.

Reception staff and restaurant waiters were nice.

The location was fantastic, i was saddened to learn the hotel isto be closed down next month because of redevelopement in Buchanan Street and i loved the reception staff they were so kind.

The location was very good, i thought was a nice place to stay on my travell from Oban and the reception staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.

The reception staff were really friendly and welcoming and rooms were basic but clean.

Good value parking as given a discount due to staying at Buchanan.

Location superb, very lively street near a train and good nearby parking.

The entrance hall , carpets and the lift need a bit of refurbishing but otherwise it would be a four star hotel,wouldn't it?

Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was warm, the sheets were clean.

Great and friendly staff, clean smart bedroom, the breakfast was fine.

The staff very friendly, adequate quiet room and clean sheets.

Our room was clean and good breakfast provided.

Staff were helpful and my room was clean.
