We didn't eat in the hotel - but we had heard that the food was overpriced and rather disgusting – no taste.
This hotel was awful - even though we were not paying to stay here ourselves I think the standards are terrible.
The location close to railway station, the hotel is really well situated and one upside is the good wireless internet connection in my room.
Leaving - comfortable room - very central location and the hotel was fairly well located for my use was clean.
Close to the city centre and the best thing about this hotel is its location.
We were right in the centre of town and saved money on taxis by being able to walk to places.
The hotel was extremely well situated for local transport links and visits into the Wolverhampton city centre (though there isn't ANYTHING to do there).
The room was small but clean with a comfortable bed.
The suite was in amongst all the guest rooms which seems really stupid!
We complained immediately and luckily was given a much larger room with a double bed (surprising how this was now available?
When we arrived in our room we couldn't believe it - it was dark and dingy, holes in the bathroom towels, the linen was dirty and had small brown holes in the sheets.
The bed sheets had dried blood on them and when I opened up the towel I found a nice big Bogey.
We ate at the restaurant of the hotel the first night and enjoyed a three-course buffet meal which was reasonably priced and of good quality.
The staff were very helpful, beds were comfortable and food in the restaurant was plentiful and hot.
Breakfast were superb and the food was nice both dinner.

My sister and I stayed at the Britannia in Sept 2005 for 2 weeks, the service was fantastic, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfasts were very good value for money, the room was clean.
I was SO pleased with the foyer,the reception area and the very pleasant staff that I told the Manager about the trepidation I had after readind the reviews.
The daytime receptionist was helpful in directing us to a free car park, the staff were pretty friendly and room were at a good standard.
The evening meal consisted of waitress service for the first course and buffet for the main course and dessert.
Location was excellent for the city centre, they made the stay wonderful for my mother and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
We got 3 hours sleep that night and the staff were useless, i complained to the manager and not once did i hear the word 'sorry'.
