Britannia Hotel Stockport

The location was really close to we need to be and this hotel was great for visiting Stepping Hill Hospital.

The hotel was booked by my company, since we were there on business and it was supposedly close to the location.

Pleasant location in a quiet suburb and great value.

People were going mad, as there was one mini bus to take people to the airport and it was looking like people might miss their planes.

Stayed here some years ago in transit from Australia to Malta, we were picking up relatives on the way and seemed a good spot from the airport.

The room was ok, clean bedding and towels which was my main concern however no TV remote was some what irritating and my mattress was alot smaller than the bed.

My room didnt even have a double bed in it it had one of hose 3/4 beds or a small double as some people call them.

My room was excellent except for the view - or total lack thereof, carpet, bed, bedclothes, furniture, television, walls and lighting.

We had a lovely spacious room with a four poster bed.

The room was a family room with a double bed and bunk bed.

Bar service was fine and the wedding breakfast was excellent.

On arrival in the restaurant for breakfast we were confronted by a surly waitress, who appeared to be working alone and struggling to clear dirty tables and lay up new ones.

We decided to have breakfast at the airport rather than eat in this rancid dump incase we spent our holiday in Florida with food poisoning.

I was the only person eating in the restaurant (now I know why), never ate their again.

Later that evening we decided to eat in the restaurant.

Made to feel welcome, the reception staff are very friendly and helpful, net so the receptionist upgraded us to a fantastic superior room.

This place must have modelled itself (Very badly) on Fawlty Towers, there was one member of staff who appeared to be everywhere, from (ahem) silver service to reception.

Staff were pleasant, the receptionist were very polite and my room was not cleaned after I checked in.

Looks good on the web with its gym/swimming pool etc however after booking a deluxe room and walking into a tiny dark grimey room I went back to ask if this was a deluxe or not.

Swimming pool great especially the jacuzzi pity it doesnt open earlier on a sunday morning.

Nothing special apart from the swimming pool and sauna & steam room use which is included in the room rate.

Free wireless Internet was available all over the hotel.

On the whole our stay was very good, the staff were very helpful and pleasant, very shabby fortunately our room was clean.

My stay at Britannia Stockport was fine, the staff were attentive and the sheets on the beds were clean.

The place was delightful, i thought the majority of staff had perfect manners i and the room we had was quiet & the linnen was clean & I was pleased tosee two chairs in the room.

Staff were lovely and the bathroom was clean.

The hotel room was clean and the staff were nice and friendly.
