Well the location was excellent, we ate once in the hotel resturant was fairly expensive for a very limited menu and staff were very friendly.

City outskirts location very good for car drivers, excellent value for money and all the staff very friendly.

Good location for manchester City and excellent hotel.

The staff were very helpful, booking us on to airport bus for the morning and giving us the return timetable.

Short bus trip to city centre and i have stayed twice at The Britannia Country House Hotel because is very convenient for Manchester Airport.

Bed was comfortable, bedding and towels fine, bathroom bright and clean with jacuzzi bath.

TV control didn't work, room very basic, rust in bath, no soap, one towel, bed had a single sheet and one blanket - a duvet would have been a step up from the 1950s I felt I had stumbled into.

It looked as though it had not been modernised since the 1970's and had a filthy carpet, peeling wallpaper, filthy windows, stains on the side of the bed, mouldy shower curtain, dirty bath, broken toilet roll holder and it stank of smoke.

Despite being made to pay for 2 rooms on holiday to accommodate our family (therefore doubling our costs) the hotel put us into one room with a double bed (for 5 of us!

The bedroom was a surprise - a tiny room containing just a single bed, a small bedside set of drawers and a portable TV mounted on the wall as there was no where else to but it.

Breakfast in the Overstuffed Pizza restaurant was a joke.

We ate in the Caverey Restaurant for our evening meal and it was very good value for money.

Dined in the restaurant, one waiter was pleasant but the rest were definitely not, asked for tea with dessert and was rudely told that they did not serve tea, go to the bar next door and buy it!

Breakfasts are slightly above average, but the music in the restaurant makes for a good atmosphere - especially if you are there, as I was, on business by yourself.

The hotel bar is greatly overpriced for poor quality product, the food is ok but stil,l for what you get, a rip off.

Frendly staff close 2 shops joinin nite club room service good, comfortable hotel within easy reach of city centre.

Prompt service in convenient location for places wished to visit, check in staff very helpfull and the receptionists are lovely one of them we found very hard to.

The car parking was free of charge and my husband's room was very very poor.

To start with the reception couldn't find out booking reference, it took ages to find a car parking space, the tv wasn't working and there was no cot in the room.

Car parking was abysmal and seemed chaotic and adhoc (basically abandon your car anywhere you can).

Rooms were clean and a good size (family rooms).

I only needed a clean, quiet room for the night and that's what I got.

Anyway, all was fine , the room was clean, just a little old fashioned.

It was clean, bathroom on a par with holiday hotels, new carpet, good decor.

The place seemed quite clean, the telly worked well, but I wouldnt have risked using the jacuzzi or having a bath.
