Britannia Adelphi Hotel Liverpool - 利物浦

The location is excellent, close to both Lime Street and Central stations.

The location was fantastice, close to all the shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs.

Good location close to train station & city, made a welcome change from standard modern hotels and basically the room is tidy and clean.

The hotel was also a short taxi ride to both Anfield and the airport.

All started during the taxi drive down where the driver told of a few horror stories, but i remained determined that i would make up my own mind on arrival.

Actually, we had 2 rooms- our girls had a wonderful old suite-clean bathroom- big tub and glass paned doors between the bedroom, bath and hallway.

30 in the afternoon, the tables and bar in the pub hadn't been wiped down all day, there was no source of heating in the bathroom, furniture in rooms was shabby and worn, no toilet paper in room, 5 minute wait for warm water.

Hotel room reasonably clean but bed has springs poking through, there was no curtain on window & no shower curtain on bath!

Later on we checked in and our room had a jacuzzi which was very nice, the room was huge, it was like a one bed apartment.

The breakfast was wonderful, the staff were helpful, there was a real marble wash stand in our room, the 1920's beds were clean and comfortable, and the room was huge, with an enormous en-suite bathroom!

Could not bear to eat there in the evening but did try the breakfast in Jenny's restaurant - another awful experience with tables crammed together, cracked and leaky coffee cups, greasy bland food.

The breakfast restaurant was not big enough for the guests / conference delegates but the food was good.

On the plus side the food was excellent and would highly recommend the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, reasonably priced aswell.

Our stay was without any trouble, the residents bar closed at three, we never made it to breakfast so can't comment on that.

Breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast and the bar and reception likewise.

The stunning vast public rooms on the ground floor (you find yourself thinking of the guests about to embark on the Titanic) and remarkably efficient breakfast service were good things to remember, as was the patience of staff on Reception.

Also the old fashioned style of the rooms, great service and each morning a friendly receptionist took our keys for us.

Staff at the front desk were not able to give directions to anything going on in town, and there is terrible construction going on outside the hotel on three sides.

The staff were friendly and the receptionist was very accomodating.

I was about to make a reservation at the Crowne Plaza when I stumbled across an advertisement for a "fully refurbished" 1800s hotel with period features, a pool, gym and secure parking; how could I possibly turn it down?

I then saw a notice to say that we had to be members to use the pool, gym and sauna.

The hotel has a gym and heated pool - we never got the time to make use of these.

Bedrooms large and spotless clean, well equipped.

The room was clean and the bedlinen spotless.

Our room was a beautiful size and clean and tidy; it would have been beautiful in its heyday.

Basically the room is tidy and clean with very old furnitures.

The room was clean and jacuzzi downstairs were great.
