However, I doubt we would go above Euro130 for a basic double room: at this price we think the hotel, for us, is very good value.
Location for shops/restaurants was excellent and hotel was good value for money.
I would suggest staying there but remember you are paying for the comfort of being in the centre in what is the best hotel in Genoa and not for the various amenities you would expect for the price.
Also good value for a city hotel right in the hart.
Very good location and very central situated on a main shopping street.
Excellent location - close to shops, the hotel has also a nice terrace you can have your breakfast in the open-air and the rooms are good.
The hotel’s in a good location – on a major street, close to the Ducal palace, and easy walking distance to most of the major areas of tourist interest (and probably business interest) in town.
Was able to take the bus from the airport directly across the street from the hotel.
The shuttle number 100 direct to and from the airport stops about 20 meters from the front door of the hotel.
The rooms can vary in size, but common to them all is an excellent bed and wonderful linen.
Furnishings, walnut veneer furniture and nice tiles in the bathroom add elegance even to the less expensive rooms.
Bed was firm Italian style – is fine for us and accomodating from the bellman to reception to the wait staff.
I liked the interior design, staff pleasant and really spacious room in the junior-suite.
Although I had reserved just a single room, I was given a large room with 3 single beds.
The service is nice and fine, the breakfast room is amazing, bar/bistro staff could not have been more helpful.
Breakfast was fairly typical but fine and in a pretty dining area overlooking a main street.
Don't eat at the restaurants listed in the guides, just walk around and find your own.
The breakfast room, with its frescoed ceiling, was a treat and the food itself was good with a reasonable selection (including champagne!
We had some other memorable meals at random small bars and restaurants around the city, finding them just by walking around.
Had the reception staff been of better service, I would have considered awarding 5 stars to this property.
First of all, the service in all parts of the hotel was friendly and accomodating from the bellman to reception to the wait staff.
Free internet access on one computer in the lobby and the parking service is very efficient.
Check out the spiral staircase inside the lobby, it's very unique and quite a site.
There’s free internet access in the lobby, though often there was someone using the machine.
There is wireless but only on the 2nd floor (we were on the 6th so had to come down to do any work on the 2nd floor).
The wireless itself was also really problematic.
The room itself was very clean (and spacious), and I have no complaints, although there was nothing really remarkable about it.
