I stayed in Boxcar Willie Inn as a child on vacation and was excited to return with my own family on our vacation. The room was great, comfortable, and clean! Beds were comfortable and the mini fridge a big plus with young kids. The staff were very friendly and helped us get great deals on tickets to attractions and shows around Branson, MO. The free breakfast each morning was delicious and there were three different dining areas to accommodate the breakfast crowds. Wait time for breakfast was between 5 and 10 minutes depending on the morning (better than most restaurants). Nightly rate was also great!

Boxcar Willies was a good motel for the price. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It had a nice breakfast and the people who worked there were friendly and helpful.
There were just a couple of things that we didn't care for but nothing major. The hilly parking areas were uncomforable for entering and exiting the car. Also the food area was small and air was hot.

Boxcar Willie Inn is our very favorite in Branson. It is older, but very nice & well-kept--pretty too. I have never met friendlier staff, and have stayed in several through the years. We come to Branson twice most years. I like privacy, and it is off the main streets, yet very convenient & close to everything. The breakfast (included in your stay) is wonderful, and the person working there (sorry, I didn't get his name) is so friendly and helpful. One day, the decaff coffee was empty. He made another pot, and brought a cup to me at my table--wow! They have a very nice indoor pool, hot tub, & sauna. We have just finished our third time to stay there, and frankly, as long as I get this kind of service & treatment, I won't go anywhere else! Our son & daughter-in-law were with us (next room) on this trip, and they loved it, too. I have lots of problems with arthritis but had never asked for any favors. This time, I requested the ground floor close to the pool, and they went out of their way to accomodate me. There are a few hotels that are newer and maybe fancier, but as far as I'm concerned, Boxcar Willie Inn is the best in Branson!

It was clean and adequate as a place to primarily sleep, while remaining close to most Branson activities and dining, at a very reasonable cost.
As only the second place I've lodged in Branson, it struck me as dated, with VERY thin ceilings/floors and walls, a nonfunctioning lobby PC printer that wasn't repaired/replaced during my stay (a new printer would have cost the hotel $50), poorly maintained grounds/lawn, intermittant wifi during the day, and "nickel & diming" guests if they want an extra pre-frozen egg/sausage disk for breakfast. Generally, the included breakfast at the hotel was disappointing, a bit too "home-style" for my taste, served in a fashion and surroundings that could use much improvement and upgrading. In general, seems that hotel is scrimping on fairly small expenses and efforts that would make this facility far more attractive, appealing, up-to-date, and sensitive to exemplary customer service orientation.

The room had a smell to it. The bathroom was so ild it looked dirty. Tv was basic channels. People were running down the halls all night. Couldnt find a snack machine. It was pretty far off the strip.

Quick check inn
The "kitchen" grossed me out. It wasn't nasty or anything, The cook was sweetie and they did not have any nutritious food (must like every other hotel breakfast).
