Not a bad location, pleasant hotel and helpful especially Toni on reception.

We stayed in Hotel Botanico, Puerto de la Cruz - (the nearest airport is Tenerife North).

Recommend a cab back to hotel as very uphill - less than 5 euros.

We upgraded to an Ambassador Suite - the normal rooms are fine but quite small if you are there for a week - the suites are huge with great bathrooms.

Our only down side - it had 2 single beds pushed together so we had to ask for the bed to be remade as 1.

The bed and room is comfortable and above average, the seaview from the room is pleasant, and the sky was clear, sunny and blue.

The spa is relaxing and enjoyable the attendants at the pool side are always on hand to help with an umbrella, towels, or moving your sun bed if necessary, the grounds are tranquil and they even have two beautiful black swans.

Fantastic SPA hotel, great service and the Penthouse suite was amazing - floor space of internal rooms.

It was everything we expected and despite being on a bed and breakfast tarrif, and not eating in the restaurants for other meals we could not fault the service.

The best meals we had were at the Rosa di Bari restaurant near la plaza del Charco, and we liked the Magnolia and Regulo restaurants too.

The hotel is quiet, great service right from arrival and the restaurants serve very classic cuisine.

My only criticisms was that the restaurant serving the local cuisine didn't seem to be up to the standard as the rest of the hotel.

A superb hotel, helpful staff and room service - presence of the manager - wonderful gardens - wonderful spa facilities - nice restaurants etc.

The service of the staff is generally what you would expect of a five-star although there are some older spanish waiters who can appear a little apathetic.

The hotel has excellent staff throughout - always friendly and helpful, free nightime turndown service, the room was amazing.

The main pool area in the hotel is nice too, i loved the hot apple tea they offer you and the spa is amazing.

The Oriental Spa is wonderful and the indoor pool is very useful if the weather isn't too good.

My wife went for a massage and so I had to stay in the room/by the pool (the other, more inviting pools shown on the internet are pools in the Spa which cannot be visited by children under 16).

Also, the wireless internet connection on the E floor was inadequate for guests.

Furthermore the room was clean well presented and the buffet breakfast was excellent in the morning.

The bathroom was also very clean, the breakfast buffet was delicious - from the chocolate fondue and the spa facilities were excellent.
