Editorial review:

If you like designer properties and are always looking for something unique, this may just be your place. The theme is heaven and hell and there life size samurai statues amidst a red leather décor set against black marble. The sleeping rooms are the heaven part of the hotel with beautiful contemporary furniture and art photography of Rome.

Friendly & efficient staff excepting woman on desk who dimissed our enquiries

Having stayed in this hotel on 2 previous occasions and in Boscolo hotels elsewhere I was appalled at the disgraceful room we were given. Heavy glass shower doors were not fixed at foot and as a result swung precariously on opening. One door came loose from top and staff had to secure it but left door loose at foot. TV was antiquated and had no satellite or English programmes. A 3* hotel has at least CNN. To call yourselves luxury is a false trade description. Finally the centre light in room could not be switched off resulting in a brightly lit bedroom. Only way we could sleep in room was to remove card and then there was no light available in bathroom if we got up during night

This hotel shouldn't be classified as a 5 star/luxury hotel. Very old furniture/tv/no luxury stuff in the room. Hotel molto scarso, meriterebbe a fatica le 4 stello. Sicuramente non è un hotel di lusso: stanze piccole, vecchie, con pochissimi servizi (la tv non è neanche a schermo piatto).

Centrally-located with many modern design features throughout the hotel. Some 4th floor rooms also have private balconies, great for an end-of-day relaxing drink.

As with all 5 star hotels, bar prices can be rather expensive.

Breakfast was great! Hotel was very attractive - the roof top bar was beautiful.

We were charged alot of money (130 e) for adding a third person to the room for our teenage daughters. It was a very small room and ended up costing much more than it should have. I thought the front desk people could have been a bit friendlier. When we walked in from outside they did not always look up and welcome us - we were usually the ones that said hello to them. In a small, boutique hotel such as this, the front desk staff should have taken more of an interest.

Hotel is well located and has an interesting design.

We booked special deal for deluxe room, but we got very noisy and small room next to ventilation channal, so we were not able to open a window. When we asked for another room, they offered us same one on the other side of the ventilation channal or normal room with extra charge of ca 50 Euro. They overpriced their buffet breakfast for 30 Euro where you can get excellent local breakfast across the street for much much less. They claim that they have spa but durring our stay it was closed in the afternoon. When they eventualy opened it it turned out that sauna and turkisch bath are too cold for what they ment to be.

The room was large and very comfortable. The reception staff was very helpful.

Weird light switch system. Euro-centric with no bar soap or face clothes.
