We got great value for our money at this really nice old place off the beaten track. The rooms were spacious and well furnished, and the location offered stunning views. The staff at the desk were friendly and the young lady at the bar spoke excellent English and gave us a great recommendation for a nearby pizza place.
Hotel breakfast could use some improvement by using local market products.

The location of the hotel is simply amazing, with breathtaking views and surrounded by peaceful grounds. The room was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed the provided amenities. the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The food service was not up to our expectations, with limited options and some low-quality ingredients. , the breakfast was somewhat disappointing, as most of the products seemed to be store-bought instead of locally sourced.

The location and the facilities (in the main building) are quite good. The building is very nice.
Some aspects were not up to par, for a four star hotel. There was a persistent sewage smell in the bathroom. The room heating was not available, although the wheather was already chilly, especially in the morning. The sofas in the room had the cloth worn, and the wadding was visible. One of the carpets in the room was rather dirty.

Beautiful building and location with large, comfortable room. View is fantastic. Not within walking distance of much, but easy drive to some charming, touristy beach towns.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location, adjacent to the main manor house, was absolutely stunning. From my room, I was able to enjoy breathtaking views of the countryside and the river. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that all of my needs were met. The room itself was spacious, clean, and had a cozy atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the delicious dinner that was offered, with homemade dishes that were full of flavor. The hotel also had a lovely pool bar, where the staff provided excellent service. I was impressed with the level of comfort and quality that this place provided.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

It's old world feel, location, views of the countryside and sense of an authentic portuguese experience. It's pool was also wonderful.
I was a little disappointed with the room condition and decor in the terraced new wing where we stayed which I thought needed to be updated. The wardrobes smelled musty so we didn't unpack our clothes.

The hotel facilities like the pool and gardens were well-maintained and provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was helpful, friendly and provided excellent service.

During my Christmas stay at this hotel, I appreciated that the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Additionally, the location was convenient with nearby towns and attractions. The icing on the cake was the hot tub, which was a fun way to relax after a long day of exploring.
I was disappointed with the limited selection of food at the hotel. The Christmas dinner was not as impressive as it should have been, and the breakfast was unsatisfactory. Additionally, the decor was outdated and needed an upgrade. while I enjoyed some aspects of the hotel, my experience was brought down by the lack of food selection and the outdated decor.

Situated atop a hill, this rustic manor has a beautiful inner patio leading to a homemade breakfast room. With nice bread, fresh coffee, and homemade jams, the breakfast is an amazing treat. The hotel boasts a small coffee shop near the stone pool and fantastic views of the surroundings. The rooms are homey, and an upgrade to a suite is possible.
Some staff members were too busy on the phone with private calls, and the site experienced some noise in the morning.
