This beautiful location is surrounded by two hundred acres of gorgeous gardens and woods. The rooms are individually decorated and located in a grand old house dating back to the 13 century. There are views that go to Conway Castle, and lavish cottages and suites are spread throughout the grounds. As for dining options, there is a gourmet restaurant. Afternoon tea is served in a regal sitting room. Those wishing to relax can enjoy the great spa. The staff is charming and dedicated.

Excellent location - totally remote yet 5 minutes from civilisation. Everything you need is on site and every member of staff is so welcoming from the receptionists and porters to the gardeners who tend the absolutely magnificent grounds. I can't rate my stay here high enough and would return in a heartbeat. This is the first time I've bothered to write a review for a hotel.

My only complaint is that my stay wasn't long enough.

My son who lives now in usa was enchanted with the mystical quality and the historic building and oak panelling etc. I was enchanted too. It deserves to be one of the best 10 hotels in the uk.

The quiet and stillness and the beauty of the gardens made it a lovely spot for a quiet break away from the demands of work etc.....

We have stayed in the Sister hotel in York Middlethrope Hall which was nice but this was far better. Hotel room was a lovely cottage, quite and private. The Spa was a great way to relax, my partner had some lovely spa treatment and i relaxed in the pool, gym, stream. Can not wait to go back.

Staff were very good indeed, impressed with cottage and facilities and spectacular grounds. Ate at the 1620 Bistro...found the food to be superb, had the welsh lamb! Lovely birthday treat that i would love to do again!

Thought it odd to have chamber maid visit room when we were at dinner, had only checked in at 3pm so by 6.30pm it wasn't really necessary, but understand it may be part of the service but felt if we were asked did we need chamber maid we would have declined as were just on a one night trip, overall though it was very good.

We stayed at Bodysgallen Hall for a short break. We stayed in one of the hotel cottages which was quiet and private. The room was clean and the bed was big and comfortable. The gym was well equipped and the pool was clean. We did attempt to book a massage but they were fully booked for days in advance so I would recommend early booking. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there are plenty of things to do and see.

the cottage had a small kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities but no plates or cutlery. We booked on a room only basis as I do not enjoy a big breakfast and the continental breakfast was 11 pounds per head . I would have liked a bowl in the kitchen so that I could have a bowl of cereal.

The cottage was beautiful and comfortable, the staff were very good and the gardens were fabulous. Very relaxing.

Everything was very good. It is definitely a place for a luxurious break due to the price. And therefore I would not stay again as the price is a one off treat for me.

Stunning country manor that was beautifully restored. Staff were gracious and attentive but could have benn more knowledgable about the building given it is the highlight of a stay here. Breakfast was excellent and personnel went out of their way to reset the table we wanted

At dinner in the bistro, staff seemed somewhat junior for such a quality hotel and were nor well informed regarding the menu. Olive oil served with appetiser was not of a grade usually served with bread and was tasteless and not first press or even extra virgin, despite mentioning it twice and being brought more of the same, we were advised that the chef said it was the same as served in the main house/restaurant. Had this been removed from our bill, the loss of very tiny revenue for the hotel would have reaped huge reward and not soured what was otherwise a delicious meal and wonderful stay at the Hall.

The cottage main room was somewhat draughty, the biscuit barrel had two rather forgotten biscuits (better none than that), in the same sense a kitchen without even a glass! And more; to give the sense certainly not of luxury even perhaps not sure of what the ambition is.
