Blue Waters Hotel Saint John's

Very handy for the town of Saint Johns, the location is wonderful situated on a quiet bay at the North of the island and this hotel is traditional.

For a stress free wedding in a lovely location it is hard to beat.

We travelled independently so needed to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel.

The ANU airport arrival went fairly smoothly and it was very easy to get a taxi to take us to Blue Waters.

We had a deluxe beach front apartment which was of a very high standard with fitted wardrobes, beautiful bathroom including bath robes, stocked mini bar, ironing board and iron and the most comfortable bed of any place we've ever stayed at.

The enormous room was more like a split-level suite, with a sofa-bed in the spacious sitting area, which meant that my daughter and I could have, in effect, separate bedrooms.

The bed as so comfortable, the room spacious, big bathroom, lovely balcony with comfortable furniture.

The room was air conditioned, had a large bathroom with sink, marble shower, tub, toilet, bidet, and hair dryer.

We booked a beachfront room: the room was nice and average clean, bed confortable the bathroom a bit tired, the verandah was lovely however the air conditioning was not working and it was damn hot inside there.

The service at this restaurant is much better too - it was a bit erratic and sometimes rather slow in the other two restaurants, especially at lunch and breakfast times.

We tended to eat our lunch at the pool bar as the breakfast was so filling.

The hotel and grounds and views are exactly as the brochure, we could not believe how beautiful it was and i am very fussy about where i stay, the food was also fantastic in both restaurants, huge breakfasts, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

RESTAURANTS: We enjoyed the informal, open-air dining in the Palm Restaurant so much that we never even tried Vyvien’s, as Palm’s food was good and varied.

The buffet restaurant was nice with a wide range of food to choose from both breakfast, lunch and dinner and the staff were all fantastic always wore a smile and fast service too.

The service varied from person to person - one of the front desk girls was as efficient as a Ritz concierge, while an attendant in the bathroom literally shoved me away from the sink so she could sweep where I was standing.

For example, we made reservations with the Front Desk for Coconut Groves for 6:30PM, with a 6:15PM cab ride with Donald(a nice gentleman who provides taxi service onsite).

Best example of the caring service came from Rosalind, part of the dining staff.

A new swimming pool and jacuzzi, together with refurbished rooms made the place even better than before.

Open air lobby and bar looking out to fountains, the main pool bar, pool, beach and sea.

The pool closest to the lobby was probably the nicest looking, but small.

If you're hoping to work whilst you're away by using their well advertised wireless internet access then don't.

The room was clean and spotless and had the most fantastic view.

Rooms were spotless clean, as Palms food was good and varied, the woman in the gym was very friendly.

The rooms, gardens, hotel, beach and rooms were spotless clean.

When entering our room it was clean and tidy and overlooking the main pool.

Then we walked to our room and were totally stunned at how clean/tidy/pretty the grounds were.
