If you are looking for something unusual in Manhattan, a small boutique hotel Blue Moon that takes up part of a 19th century tenement house is a great place to try. Each room has a different but very stylish décor. Stepping through the doors is like walking into a historic Manhattan art museum. Original architecture, wood moldings, doors, light fixtures, and marble tiles were reintegrated into the hotel’s design. Historic memorabilia found during reconstruction was preserved and used as a part of the décor while incorporating modern elegance, amenities, and services. There are 22 oversized luxury sleeping rooms and suites named after entertainment legends of the 1920's and 30's. Some of the rooms have balconies with spectacular views.
