      Doug and Karen and all of their staff are delightful host, the location is stunning; beautiful, peaceful, unique and special, and the village of Burell Boom is a wonderful place to 'homebase' yourself while exploring the country!

      Our room overlooking the river was extremely pleasant, the location on Rio Wallace was perfect and the decor was cheap.

      Doug is eager to please guests and will personally transport you, or arrange transportation, to and from the airport or marine terminal and to any of the popular sites.

      I was picked up at the airport in VIP style, and whisked to the beautiful riverside resort in an air conditioned van.

      The rooms have A/C, TV (only 3 channels, but who needs TV when you have Belize) and comfortable beds, spacious showers with hot water.

      Bathrooms with good hot showers and with clean fluffy towels, replaced daily.

      Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and the food was excellent.

      Large airy rooms, good restaurant and nice pool.

      The restaurant shows the thoughtful had of Doug's wife, Karen, with a mix of Belizean cuisine and other dishes.

      Well appointed rooms and a very good meal in the restaurant.

      Our room was large, the restaurant at the resort provided good food.

      Pedaloes free of charge, helpful service and the friendly manager is regularly cruising around.

      Simple hotel / motel kind of place and his staff are very welcoming.

      The Hotel lacked a comfortable lounge area and the staff is friendly.

      Our 2-day stay at the Black Orchid Resort was wonderful in every way and his excellent staff provided me.

      Here you will find beautifully landscaped grounds, the Belize River (on which you can canoe or Booked.net, for no extra charge), a pool, hammocks, a terrace and modern, comfortable rooms.

      The food was fine and the pool was great.

      Plenty of windows to let in the wonderful outdoors, the food is great and the pool is really nice.

      The Black Orchid Resort is exceptional in every way, the staff are all very nice and helpful, the rooms are large and clean.

      All of his staff were always extremely welcoming, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and spacious, the food was very good.

        The river is beautiful and that warm welcome feeling just is not at big hotels. This makes a great home base for a variety of activities, all of their staff are delightful host and the rooms are spacious. The food is excellent.

        30 min from Belize city near the baboon sanctuary and great value. Very helpful staff and spacious shower. Bar service were friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

        The river was low and slow, the wine selection was a little limited for the connoisseur.

        Belize City isn't particularly tourist friendly and a really good place to stay. The staff was wonderful and the room was large. The food was fine and the pool was great.
