Best Western The Inn At Smithfield Plattsburgh

We liked the location and cleanliness of the Smithfield Inn.

The location was great, the quality of my stay was certainly excellent and staff was very nice.

We paid a group rate, but the standard rack rates seemed just about right for the brand, style, and location of the hotel.

The bed was pretty hard and the bedspread smelled like smoke ( Oh well - it was a smoking room but it was graduation weekend & the only room available) and there was TV noise from the adjoining room but, otherwise things were OK.

I slept better in their beds than I do in my own bed.

The bathroom floor needed the grim scrub near the toilet and bathtub, slow season is coming maybe they do that when they spring clean.

I went to the store for beer & snacks for after dinner when everyone would be back at my room and clean towels had been left on the closed toilet seat.

Clean bed and their continental breakfast is more than accurate.

I do not stay anywhere else the prices are great breakfast is included and I simply enjoy it a lot.

Additionally great breakfast and a beautiful large indoor pool.

The free breakfast (starting at 6 on a Monday) featured a variety of pastries, bagels, a waffle iron, and a juice machine that wasn't working the morning I checked out (see below).

The two restaurants on site were very convenient and my stay at the Inn at Smithfield was a good experience overall.

The free continental breakfast is the worst I've seen.

The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly, the suite had a great kitchen.

My only complaint is that the front desk staff was a little inattentive.

The staff is warm and friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel is well priced and beautiful (the front desk area especially).

A big plus is the staff is very friendly.

The public areas were fine too: the hallways, the lobby and check-in desk (located in the hotel, by the way, not in another building as one reviewer stated), and the huge pool area were all very well-kept.

The building is old but beautiful; and while some of the facilities (fitness center) shared the old personality, the quality of my stay was certainly excellent.

Our only complaint, is that we were anxious to use the pool, but when we went down at 9:30pm (pool closes at 11pm) the pool doors were locked and said it was closed for maintence?

Desk service was perfect, my room was very clean and continental breakfast was good too.

This hotel was by far one of the best ones we have ever stayed at, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean.

The staff were efficient and friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean.

The room was clean and the amenities (including a refrigerator) were in excellent condition.

The amenities in Plattsburgh are nothing great and rooms are big and clean.
