  I was at the Staunton Inn best Western and it was very clean and the staff there with very friendly and helpful. I swam in a pool and the pool was very clean and the water was warm. They keep their rooms very very clean and they put a little ducky on your bathtub.

  Beautiful, classic motor hotel, incredible continental breakfast with good choices for dining outside bldg (Shoney's, steak restaurant, etc. The decor was classy with beautiful fixtures, furniture, linens, wallpaper, etc.

  Used coupon and paid extra 10 for king bed.

  Wireless internet wouldn't work and clerk couldn't help.

  There are some good hotels into Staunton, check out any of them, just don't waste your money here!

  Probably some of the rudest front desk and management I have ever encountered. Clerk did not know how to print a receipt, and kept blaming "the computer," like something from the 50s. AC was not working in pool area, wi-fi was very poor, and housekeeping did not make one of the beds because my daughters pajama top was folded into the sheets. When I pointed out it was not exactly a suitcase sitting on the bed, the asst manager reluctantly sent a housekeeper. Breakfast was stale pastries and lukewarm coffee.

  We are both very picky about hotels, especially with cleanliness and service. So, if your dog howls or barks when left alone, consider ordering take-out and maybe turning on the tv to entertain your pet while you step out for the great breakfast (they show you the menu at check-in). By the time we checked in, the only rooms available were on the side closest to the train tracks. The staff did warn us ahead of time of the train. The staff was the young college-type, very courteous and competent. There are plenty of dining options on this exit as well as a Walmart (as much as I hate to promote this store, when on-the-road, it comes in handy). Professional Staff, Clean Rooms, Great Breakfast.

  They gave us a room in the back close to the exit door so that we could take the dogs out without walking through the hotel. There was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room.

  Do you remember the part when they book the hotel room and the train comes through at 4:00 a. Well, be prepared if you are given a room at the back of the hotel. The train tracks are so close that you could open your window and spit on them. By the way, when you check in, they tell you that they are giving you a room by the tracks and make you sign a disclaimer saying they told you. When we asked if we could change our room as we were checking in, they said they were booked for the night. I booked this room on line through Best Western and there is nothing in there about trains.

  I had stayed at the Staunton Inn a few years ago and the friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel encouraged my stay in March.

  When I arrived, the front desk staff were lounging around back in the office and at a chair at the the desk. Next, they sent us to a room that was already occupied by another guest! Neither employee apoligized for the mistake and we actually ended up on the train track side of the building, even though we made a reservation 3 months in advance! The employees need to be straightened out! How does the staff get away with their behavior?

  Our room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The hotels amenities include free parking, an indoor pool, 24 hour coffee and tea in the lobby, as well as a coffee maker in your room. The location is great for anyone touring the area, just minutes from the historic downtown area, (we really enjoyed our short visit to the Downtown Farmer’s Market) and surrounded by the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. It is also a great location for anyone passing through the area, as it is located at the intersection of Interstates 81 and 64. The absolute best feature of this property, however; is its professional, accommodating employees. Both the evening and morning front desk staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating.

  Also, they offer an expanded continental breakfast with waffles, hot and cold cereals, donuts and pastries, AND sausage biscuits from the famous Rowe's Family Restaurant next door.

  We booked our room online for $74, when we arrived, the clerk was selling rooms for $49. Later in the night we returned to our room and our message light was on. I called down to the front desk to get our message and the phone rang for about five minutes. I asked the morning clerk, who happened to be the Front Office Manager, to change the rate for me and she huffed, slammed on the keyboard and basically threw the new receipt at me. Bottom Line, the staff was very rude, unprofessional, and it was a bad experience.
