Certainly not a luxury hotel, but good value for money with no noticeable defects or downside.
Location is very good, we recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decent hotel at a great price and staff are probably the best in Vancouver.
The Sands by the Sea solved our problem and we were very glad we stayed there having passed a few of the hotels in the same price bracket in the city which looked pretty run down.
Very vibrant area, no seediness about it that I've read can be the case near some of the other hotels in the price bracket.
The location of this hotel is great -- near the water and city transit buses stop close to the entrance.
Convenient location close to family and would highly recommend great value for the.
The location was convenient, there was a walking/running trail that leads to Stanley Park just across the street for fitness fanatics and tons of restaurants around- I got hot soup from a nearby deli.
To get here from airport, take 424 bus to airport spur station, 98 bus north into town, get off at Davie Street stop, and take #6 bus west to Denman (when driver told me "Everyone off; route ends here," I was 30 feet from hotel lobby door).
Location is very good, very convenient to transport bus/s trams directly outside of hotel and the staff are efficient and friendly.

The bathroom small, nice bar and we just experienced the restaurant for the breakfast.
Free wireless should be routine, food in the restaurant/bar is very good and the luncheon seafood chowder is the best.
Plenty of bar/grills where you can get good food and have a drink at sunset and a huge variety of international cuisine available on the same street.
The Checkers restaurant had good choice for breakfast and the evening meal we had there was good.
We went from the hotel to the restaurant for breakfast as they are in the same building and ordered breakfast, ate, received the bill, paid and on the way out of the building noticed a sign that stated breakfast was $4.

Hotel staff was helpful, the rate we felt was slightly high and the maid service was excellent.
Very good location near Stanley Park, a nice stay and the front desk staff was very helpful.
There was a gym and sauna that was in a converted bedroom,which we didn't use.
With the noise on the street, and below in the parking lot the only choice is to close your window and suffer through the heat.
Going into the lift was a timewarp back to the 70's.
