A.
We ate at Pinto Thai, which is only 400 ft away, it suited our needs. Private parking was provided to the guests.
Nothing bad to say.

The breakfast was WONDERFUL and the room was comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would like to stay there on the next trip.

The friendliness of the staff, exceptionally helpful at all times. Nothing was too much bother from the bar, kitchen and front line reception. The hotel was well situated for the festival my friend and I attended. Would highly recommend it to my friends.
Would have liked my room to have double glazing heard a bit too much of the traffic and people talking.

Warm welcome from reception staff despite my late arrival due to a late running train from London. The hotel is ideally situated for train travellers being just across the road from Newton Abbot station. Single room was clean and functional although some may find it small by current standards. Breakfast was fine and service prompt. The hotel provided a more than adequate bed for the night with taxis always available across the road at the railway station

I like the queens hotel because it is right opposite the train station. Plus the bus stops are nearby also. I had a stroke in 2009 and it left me disabled so all the above is ok for me.
The only complaint for the room 205, it was to stuffy. In future I will ask which room is reserved for me. If it is 205 then I will not be in the hotel.

Basically you know what you are going to get. Our experience has been generally very favourable and when we are going away we tend to look first to see if there is a Great Western in the location. Not high luxury, but good honest accomodation.

neatness of the single room I booked. No frills particularly but clean and efficiently appointed. I like the old-world charm of the interior, though I think this would not be to everyone's taste. Two staff members I met were extremely friendly.
Only that I found I couldn't make a decent cup of tea in the morning. It was tasteless and I'm not that fussy when it comes to tea.
