The staff was wonderful, free shuttle to/from airport, Old Town Alexandria and Metro Station.

It's about a mile's walk from King Street in Old Town Alexandria, and about the same (I think) from the closest Metro station.

What we didn't like was attack of bed bugs, manifested at end of stay.

They have a business center and fitness center with hot tub, free wireless internet in the rooms, and dvd players in the rooms with free rentals at the front desk.

Reported to Hotel and they will inspect room and handle accordingly.

The best part, though, I think, is their 24 hour free snack room.

They keep it stocked with bottled water and soda, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, soup, cookies, pudding, ice cream, granola bars, chips, nuts, etc.

Breakfast good, especially bacon, eggs, waffle, bagels.

They have a full hot breakfast in the morning - eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, waffles, etc.

Internet room and jacuzzi in fitness room.

I enjoyed walking everywhere and felt safe, but the hotel shuttle will take you to any local locations.
