On the positive side, the breakfast was satisfying, the bed was comfortable, and the door to the room was thick and quiet.

The front desk was very friendly and the bed was particularly comfortable.

The staff were friendly and efficient, bath room was clean and nice.

The room was a big surprise--a 5 star hotel room, the staff were very helpful and courteous, the bathroom provided was adequate for our needs.

They also have very nice bathrooms, most of which feature an oversized tub / shower combination.

I did not have breakfast at the hotel, but found a number of fast food outlets and restaurants nearby.

As for the surrounding restaurants, I wish there were more that delivered as the Markland is not in a very nice area.

They do have a list of restaurants, but most are not in walking distance and close early.

And breakfast was very minimal (even by Best Western Standard).

Clean and simple mordornized Lobby made me determine to stay, the room was a big surprise--a 5 star hotel room, the lake was incredibly inviting in the warm sunshine.
