Best Western Lakefront Hotel Manitowoc

I rated this hotel excellent based on its location.

The hotel has a great location right on Lake Michigan but there is no beach.

However, the Inn on Maritime Bay, while far from perfect accomodations, ie, good location, good scenery, and a pretty good restaurant.

We were able to stay in the king size suite the first night but the second night we had to move to a lesser room.

The bed was comfortable, the meals were very good and dinner menu was awesome.

I rated this hotel excellent based on its location, helpful staff are the reason we will be coming back again and rooms offer they are designed for.

Each morning, we ate a full breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

The hotel gave out coupons for complimentary drinks in the bar and for full breakfasts in the Boatyard Cafe (which has excellent views of the Lake).

Breakfast is not included, but their restaurant serves a good breakfast, not overpriced although not cheap.

They pacified us with breakfast coupons to the hotel restaurant but I was still not happy.

It was the type of basic breakfast you would get at your favorite hometown family restaurant.

The front desk staff were very helpful, no glitches at all in the reservation, although it sure felt weird pushing the luggage trolley through a wedding reception to get to the glass elevater.

Frankly, I care much more about service than decor when vacationing, and the warm and helpful staff are the reason we will be coming back again.

The building is impressive from the outside and the decent sized room is clean.

Our room was clean and delightfully quiet, not huge but plenty of space.

Bathroom was smallish but very clean, and with a separate counter area just outside with the coffee maker.

The room, also overlooking Lake Michigan, was clean and in good condition.
