I chose this hotel for attending a conclave and was impressed with their conference rooms. The facilities were well-equipped and spacious, accommodating our seminars and conferences without any issues. The staff was also helpful in setting up the space for our events.

The only service missing for my work was a dedicated business center. It would have been convenient to have access to computers and printing facilities for last-minute tasks and document preparation.

Very centrally located

Very small room, although we had booked a Superior. Guests outside room above us let burning tilt in front of our window and we were happy about smoker smell in our room.

The breakfast was very good and varied. There was also gluten-free bread, a coffee pot at the table and attentive service.

The mattress of the double bed was saggy and/or too soft, the duvet very heavy, the drinks in the room refrigerator were overpriced.

Good, central location, the best hotel on the square. Everything the transient needs is there. Nice room. When in Aurillac, the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux is THE place to relax from strenuous car journeys through the Auvergne.

Great central location, perfect for exploring the town during Christmas. Close to plenty of dining options and shops. Room size was decent with a cozy bed that ensured a good night's sleep. Free WiFi worked well and the housekeeping staff kept the room clean.

The decor was outdated and the lighting was dim, giving an overall gloomy feel to the room. Disappointing lack of amenities, no breakfast facilities and no bar, so had to venture out even when feeling sluggish in the mornings.

Excellent central location - This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the city, just off the Square and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. It couldn't be more convenient for exploring the local market and immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the center of Aurillac.

The location: city centre. In spite of that: quiet room with airconditioning. Great breakfast buffet.

As a travelling motorcyclist one of the best features is the hotels secure garage parking. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis and the rooms were fine and breakfast was very good. I have now stayed at the hotel twice (the previous time being July 2011) and on both occasions i have experienced very friendly, helpful & efficient staff who are happy to go out of their way to help. It has a great location in the centre of Aurillac and i felt we got excellent value for money at an average cost of 47 euros p/p/p/n for our 4 night stay & they did not charge us for parking our motorcycles in the garage. They also provide free WiFi service which was very useful (especially for keeping up with news as the TV in the room has no English channels). I would definitely stay at the hotel again & recommend to anyone visiting the area.

A minor point ...our room had a bath with shower over (which worked very well) but there was no shower curtain so water splashed all over the bathroom if you stood up in the shower. This meant using it seated in the bath. Some rooms do have a seperate shower cubicle though so check the spec of the room you get.

Impressive salon and bar, central location with nearby cafes and restaurants, well-appointed rooms with large bed, helpful staff, easily accessible private garage.

The location, the staff and the area surrounding the town.

The town itself was ok but there were a number of Travellers/hippies/?, about 20+ in number who pestered for money and made the atmosphere feel somewhat threatening.
