Best Eastern Mozart Hotel Odessa - Odesa

My friend chose this hotel based on the location and that he'd read that it was the fanciest hotel in Odessa.

The Mozart Hotel's greatest strength is probably its location: right downtown, across from the Opera House, easy walking distance from dozens of great restaurants and the Sea Port.

Location was fairly good if you know what steet to ask for Leiden Stein, otherwise taxis took you a tour of the whole canal!

The room this time around was much bigger and more comfortable with large king sized bed and full bathroom (including bath and shower).

The bed was very comfortable, and the desk and chair,in a separate lobby near the bathroom , as I needed to work whilst I was there , were also good.

In the end, we had two single beds and a sofa-bed, which we had to call and remind them to bring sheets for.

I orded a double room for two, and got this tiny little room where the double bed was just about the only thing there was room for.

The room i finally got was a average large room, with a good bed with nice pillows.

We didn't eat at the restaurant, but we stopped in the small hotel bar a few times.

The breakfast buffet was a nice mix of Ukrainian and western breakfast foods, and included a little salad bar.

The breakfast was ok, and service at restaurant was excellent.

There was a good selection of food available at breakfast time , which was self service , the coffee was excellent.

The breakfast at the hotel offers a good choice of hot/cold food.

But poor rooms with high prices and mediacre service from reception drags the hotel rating down.

I would happily have given this hotel five stars, if only the service had been a bit sharper.

The hotel staff are quite friendly and helpful.

However, the reception and hotel on the outside looked very nice.

And the people at the reception was mostly polite.

There is a gym and tiny pool, but we didn't try them out.
