The location was excellent, were very surprised at nice the hotel was and price was reasonable.
Please tell as many people as possible that this hotel is awful and to not waste their money.
The poor staff (doing their best despite owners charging a price designed for a hotel with amenities such as a restaurant and cold/hot drinks available) had to order out for water.
I found this treatment to be unprofessional, unsophisticated, and just a bit rude - and a bit odd for a hotel which was obviously spending a lot of money to attract guests.
This great for location being next to the beach, common area's of hotel nicely renovated and we loved the decorations.
The location is perfect, sun on the beach in Long Branch and the hotel should advertise more -- not too many customers there.
Nice location and asbury Park itself was awesome.
I pulled up to this location and I was very nervous to go inside because of the lack of landscaping.
The location is wonderful, the Ocean are great you overlook the renovation going on in Asbury and this hotel is really nice they remolded.
The room was absolutely beautiful, the elegance was stunning just don’t lie on the bed.
The water was hot, the bed was passable, the door locked, what more could you want?
Actual zebra skins cover some of the lobby furniture and the motif continues in the guest rooms and common areas which have bizarre black & white stripped carpet patterns.
I had a quick check-in and smooth elevator ride to my brand new ocean view guest room.
I had a good night sleep on new beds and clean bathroom.
There were a few bars in walking distance from the hotel, a restaurant on the boardwalk, and even more shops and restaurants on Cookman Ave.
I told him that I would like to check the rates with the front desk, and also eat breakfast in the restaurant , and he frowned.
We were charged double the normal rate and there was no restaurant, no bar, no cribs available (can you believe that for 200 dollars a night!
Interestingly the hotel has no restaurant or bar although these appear to have been present in the past and a lobby bar is mentioned on the web site.
The water was hot and the breakfast buffet was very nice.
The mostly Hispanic bellmen and cleaning staff were wonderfully friendly, polite, and helpful however the front desk manager, Trish, was grumpy, sullen, and unaccommodating.
The center of the mattress had an incredibly large bloodstain, the hotel wasn't in disrepair not was really well kept up and the staff at the front desk was great.
The elevators are outdated as well as the lobby and the staff is friendly and informative.

All I knew was the information I found online, and was pleasantly surprised by the "Beachy" feel of the lobby.
No wireless at first then they would reset the router and I would have wireless then poof it was gone.
Since I was out using Wi-Fi down the road I discovered that the night air was cool.
The rooms are clean and breakfast could be better.
The room were fantastic, the continental breakfast was bagels and pool was clean and warm.
The room was acceptably clean and the breakfast was free continetal.
Overall not a bad place, the staff was trying their best and the bathroom was fairly clean.
Hotel accross the street from nice clean beach, spacious rooms and on day 2 we missed the continental breakfast.
